Shawn definitely made the right choice by not marrying Sunny. What she did to Chris Candido was sick and is an example why you need to watch what woman you want to pursue.

It takes two to tangle. Shawn was horrible too. Both are clearly addicts. The only difference is Shawn was able to come through it. He didnt seem to care about Chris when he was fucking her.

It wasn't Shawn's choice, she chose to go back with Chris. Shawn actually wanted her to move into his new house he was building in Texas at the time and likely had marriage on his mind. It completely deflated his ego and made him deeply insecure, but in typical Shawn fashion he flirted with disaster and dodged a bullet.

@@BluesRiffage That’s her story, but I honestly don’t know if that’s true. At one point she actually said he proposed to her and then she took it back and said it never happened. She also has charges pending in both PA and NJ but those might get dropped now that she has been sentenced to 17 years in Florida. She will probably end up dying in prison. She'll be 68 when she gets out and her probation won't end until she's 75 and they will drug test her if she gets out. In Sunnys book she refers to Shawn as “the one man she ever truly loved but could never have.” That tells you right there what she thought of Chris. I have always had mixed feelings about Tammy. She was a great performer in SMW and WWF in the 90’s. She actually loved the wrestling business and I did enjoy her as a fan in those two companies but then when it comes to all the stuff between her and Chris that makes me not want to feel sorry for her back in the day. Look even Shawn Michaels has come out and said he was an asshole in the mid 90s. I think everyone will agree on that including him. I am a fan of his but I don’t want to be one of those wrestling fans that says my favorite wrestlers don’t do anything wrong and it’s only the wrestlers I dislike, because there’s way too much of that going on. But I always had a very big problem with fans and people in the wrestling business blaming Shawn for Tammy cheating on Chris. I don’t think Chris’s friends like Bam Bam Bigelow and Shane Douglas did him any favors because they were so obsessed with making the guys in the Kliq look bad they never once stopped and thought that he you’re kind of exposing your best friend or someone that you claim to be a best friend as a complete fool to the entire world. Don’t blame Shawn Michaels. This is where I stopped feeling bad for her because Chris seemed like a nice enough guy and he was a great worker but he should’ve left Tammy in 1996 and never looked back. He spent his entire adult life depressed because his old lady was fucking everybody. And the same people that gets so bent out of shape and want to point the finger at HBK never once blamed Tammy and never once pointed the finger at Brian Pillman, Raven, Hak, Davey Boy Smith, etc. there’s nothing wrong if she wants to sleep around but she should’ve broken up with Chris. Well let bygones be bygones none of us are perfect she was young Chris passes away but over all of her problems that she’s had since Chris passed away as an adult she never took any responsibility for her actions. And I hate saying this because I really was a fan of hers I’ve battled my own addiction problems and I’ve never looked to my current employer as it’s something they’re supposed to fix. As an adult you treat addiction like you do cancer if you know you have a problem, and clearly even Stevie Wonder could see this girl had a problem, it’s up to her to get the help. Constantly blaming the WWF for not fixing her doesn’t really cut it with me. I know she did an interview about a decade ago and she was trying to compare herself to other people That the WWE had helped but their problems were much deeper than just alcohol but since then they’ve improved their wellness program and they have gone public and said it is for anybody who has ever worked there. Once that option became available to her is when she finally stopped blaming WWE for not helping her. Which doesn’t really look good either if you’re going to sit here and say they’re not doing anything for you and then when there’s an open door you don’t wave that flag anymore that really kind of looks like she never wanted help to start with. Even at that I still never really like tell people dog piled on her and made fun of her because I’ve known some damaged women in my life and stuff like that isn’t going to help but at some point like Jim says it’s up to her. Before half of this happened she should’ve realized OK something very bad is going to happen and there’s a very good chance she might lose her freedom for a long time now. Very sad situation.

While I do agree w/ you that Tammy should be held responsible for the affair(s) she had on Chris, I think you oversimplify HBK's role in sordid affair way too much. The thing you have to understand is that people aren't/weren't mad at or blame HBK just because he was dicking Tammy down. They're mad at him because Shawn was actively lording it over the guy and rubbing his face in it, trying to run him out of the business, and even kill himself. And Tammy has no bearing on that part whatsoever, that was all Shawn's doing. Again, not saying your point doesn't have merit, cause it most certainly does, but just wanted to put the ire & hate for HBK in its proper context.

My sister was killed by a f*cked up driver at the age of 21, she was in her senior year in college. The driver got probation despite a lengthy record. My opinion is that if you take someone’s license away and they get caught driving, they go to jail for 6-12 months. If they do it a second time there should be a mandatory minimum lengthy prison sentence. Because they have shown no regard for the law or others safety. Jim has been very fair to her over the years and his kindness in terms of not piling on and realizing that Tammy has a boatload of problems, it was seen and appreciated. but he's also absolutely right that all of this is way too far, and it's been too far for awhile. I think we all knew how this story was going to play out. Sadly. It's either she's going to end up dead or, which we got, someone else did. She's been hellbent on self destruction and it sucks when we know someone like that. And it's a very human thing to not want to give up on someone like that and keep hoping they will turn it around, as so many do.

which is so unfortunate because regarding talent and "getting" wrestling (and I'm not talking looks because that is subjective, a lot of people thought Sable was hot in the late 90's. but so did a lot of people think about Sunny at that time as well) she was miles ahead of Sable. considering this, Sable is kinda of an overachiever. while Sunny unfortunately never lived up to the potential she had first shown back in SMW and shortly after in the WWF. seriously, just imagine what could have been. not only could she have been a bonafide superstar. but even more important that man (she fatally injured in the accident) could still be alive.

People like Tammy have a lot of pain trapped inside them and it's really difficult to address it. She probably always felt very lonely as well (she kinda was) so that increases the feeling of being helpless. In the same time, there is just no excuse for not even trying to help yourself and for going so far down the line to eventually kill someone. She was immensely talented, but you know, meeting up with the wrong people and WWF at that time being a very toxic environment, didn't help her situation at all. Typical when it comes to a drunk driver. The drunk survives while the innocent victim/s dies. Hope she never gets out of jail because you just KNOW if she does, she'll get back behind the wheel again & drunk no less only to kill another victim. Like the song by Guns N Roses "Civil War" Axl Rose hit the nail on the head when saying, "Some people you just can't reach." And Tammy is one of em. Just saying.

Saddest thing about getting 7 DUIs is that means she drove drunk many more times than that but was never caught. It was only a matter of time before she hurt or killed someone or herself. That is why it's so important to get people help right away at the first DUI, and then move to a hefty punishment such as revoking the license on the second DUI. No one should be able to get anywhere near 7 of them!
@Jim-Tuner
@Jim-Tuner 2 жыл бұрын
She got her first three all in a row and was able to get off light (90 days) by agreeing to go into rehab. But two of the later DUIs got her a year in jail each. She had a pending DUI case from early this year that would have probably put her away for multiple years even if the Florida thing had not happened. Her license was revoked a long time ago.

Sunny was that hot woman you met when you were younger who screamed train wreck from a mile away. That’s usually the type of women guys try to rush to sleep with fast, because they know the looks will head south in short order and she’ll eventually become three times the train wreck. ‘Get it while it’s hot’, is a way to put it, because metaphorically speaking it’s gonna get cold fast. Usually, what helps out those women for a while, is to have guy who just tolerates everything (There’s a term for it that I’d rather not use). For Tammy, that was Chris. Everyone else hit it and ran for the hills, because they could see the train collision. For whatever reason, Chris took her back, but once he died, it was just a matter of when.
