Penta's debut was great. You can actually tell he was happy to be there unlike in AEW. The flippy floppers need to be produced for their own safety. Penta is an example of wanting to be produced. Just that many of them don't want to. He has big things coming for him he has a bright future. He deserves it. When Rey Fenix comes in and they have them reform The Lucha Brothers. They will probably end up reforming The Usos. Cause those guys had always said in interviews they always wanted to fight the The Lucha Brothers. The WWE tag team division is getting stacked. You can see Trips puts effort in the tag team division. Also you already knew Penta was gone when in an interview he said Cody Rhodes was his Role Model and his best friend and he considered Cody a great influence for the boys. We all know you say nice things about Cody you are done. Specially when it comes to AEW.

The people who were online like “OH SO NOW YOU LIKE PENTA WHEN HE DIDNT EVEN DO EVERYTHING HE CAN DO?!?” Yes, idiots, that’s exactly why we liked it because he had a great wrestling match rather than just doing EVERYTHING he can do with no rhyme or reason.

I've gotten to a point where even through the botches. I still enjoy wrestling. Gable carried that match and i loved Penta's passion and energy. He did some really good moves and gable really sold it

Props to Gable for making Penta look great, but Penta is going to be a star. And its a Mesican destroyer now!

Jim, I am 65 years old and I have been watching wrestling since 1970, and the Penta match was not as bad as you said it was. Yes he had a couple little screw ups at the start of the match, but that was just ring rust from not having a match in a while, not to mention I am sure he was nervous. Then after a few minutes he was fine, and I am sure he will tighten it up with every match he has going forward.

As a teenager i thought Penta was the coolest thing in Lucha Underground, but i got burnt out on him during his AEW run. I'm optimistic to see where a company that will reign in his more silly tendencies will take him.

Props to Jamie Noble who produced this segment. Start to finish it just worked even with the post-match promo being rather long-winded. From the heart and a great recruitment tool going forward, but long-winded

According to bully ray the reason Penta did a headlock with the right arm is cuz that's Mexican style.

In the five months since his last AEW match he did have several matches in Mexico. Maybe he forgot where he was for a second.

I’m pretty sure HHH told Penta backstage, “less is more” there a huge difference between wrestling in front of marks (AEW) and casuals (WWE)

Is this Jim's thing? Cynicism. Guys like Gable putting over talent, while really being better is as old as the business. Penta spoke very well after the match. WWE giving Penta room to do a piledriver variant. Booking his debut in a hispanic friendly venue. This was good work all around. Give a bit of credit.
@jjohnwords28732 сағат бұрын
Penta merch gonna sell crazy. They need to sell the gloves. Aew not doing this was stupid. When rey fenix finally gets out his contract also it will be even better.

@MozartkugelСағат бұрын
They definitely picked the right location for the debut. This crowd wanted to see Penta and they got him and the reception they gave him made him instantly look like as million bucks, no pun intended. Now I’m no fan of his in-ring-style and I hope that he doesn’t use the same over-the-top moves on a weekly basis, and his weak englisch could be detrimental for future feuds but from a company standpoint they pressed all the right buttons to present a guy like him to a new audience. Speaking loosely of Gable, too, and his ability of instantly putting over new talent: Where did the Wyatts go? Where’s all their fans who told us they were gonna big huge this time? That said their story made sense?
@jamesrodolfo80683 сағат бұрын
Cornette is 100% right in my opinion and i felt the same way when i saw this debut. Cable carried this all the way.
