To be fair barbed wire bats are stupid to start with. You might get lucky with a cut or two. However the big scary wired bat no not scared of the wire I'd be more scared of the bat. Barbed and razor wire is designed to catch someone or some animal in it. The idea is the struggle and tangling of the wire does the damage. You do it to yourself if you're caught up it. Why it is best not to struggle if you do get caught in it. On a bat against a person wearing a shirt under a hoodie yeah that isn't gonna make it to the skin. It also shows you the hardway Kenny took some of the barbed how little the blood comes out. When blading you want as much blood as possible. It is why wrestlers would eat a bunch of asprin before hand. Thins the blood so it bleeds more.

Thats Jim for you in a nutshell. Its not just for NXT though. He sometimes does that with AEW by ignoring the good stuff and exaggerating the negatives. Like he didn't even watch the Angelico and Cody match from 2 weeks ago just because Angelico does that dance to the ring which pissed him off. I mean GTFO. It was a great technical matt style match which he would have liked just like his co host and this is just one example. Another example off the top of my head was the Omega and Page vs SCU match on the Jericho cruise where they won the titles which was a great match with no "indy outlaw bs" and "video game wrestling" as he likes to call it and he still was desperately trying to nitpick and talk shit about it. Even his fans turned on him for that one since it was a decent match. Instead of analyzing the match he kept saying "Oh and they just did some shit and then some more shit". Like wtf?

I used to rewind some of Michael's stuff off the top ropes onto the ring mats. Those mats might be trick mats but they look like pretty basic 5mm floor mats. Moved so good, that Ironman with Brett Hart was an awesome match, they got so involved they didn't need to act at the end, both men giving everything getting beaten up and no complaining at all.

AEW: *promises to be a refreshing take on professional wrestling since the end of the height of its success in the attitude era* Also AEW: *rehashes the same shit that worked better in other companies with diminishing results* And there are porn video games but most are visual novels, so not much action. Incidentally, I feel like Kenny would be a guy who's into that kind of thing.

I could book better than Tony too, but I'm just surprised the ones that know better (Jericho, Cody, Jim Ross, Tully, Jake) aren't the ones persuading the boss to do what's better for the company as a whole. They need to realize the stuff like Hager and Wardlow hurts both, not helps 1 without hurting the other. They go 2 steps forward and three back......

Tony Khan isn’t booking the show really. It’s more of a book by committee scenario and he gets to pass or veto ideas brought to the table because he’s the one with the money and connections to make it happen in the first place. He may come up with some of the ideas himself but mostly he lets the “talent” come up with their own stories a lot of the time. That’s why the show is so wildly inconsistent. Some guys are better at booking themselves than others. It’s more fun to watch than wwe where everything feels the same, but when shit isn’t working they don’t really have feelers with no real crowd to know that it isn’t hitting and what is.
