Oh and Jerry Lawler is an underachiever. He could have been even bigger if he'd worked out and made more of an effort. He just felt he didn't need to and settled for where he was.
@SensiofRabbitude
@SensiofRabbitude 4 жыл бұрын
Jindrak was bland as hell. Maybe in the territory days, he gets a manager and gets over but he was never going to be much bigger than he was, in the era he was in. O'Haire was fun to watch but he was a bit of a troubled soul. Given a fairer go, he probably would have gotten into some random fight one night and immediately undone all the good work done anyway. I'm assuming you're both fans of Jim, seeing as you're here. It may then also be worth noting Corny was running OVW and at one point he had 21 WWE developmental contracted workers on his roster. He was asked by the WWE to rank all 21 based on ability and who is ready to debut. Corny ranked O'Haire and Jindrak 19th and 20th but they got called up anyway. Tldr it was a combination of Vince thinking managers are old hat, personal problems and maybe that they just weren't ready.

"We told them how the shell game works and expected them to keep playing.." This, and the analogy to stage magicians, is the best explanation for why wrestling doesn't matter anymore. I'm willing to suspend disbelief, but the WWE and AEW make it so unrewarding and difficult. So I watch MMA, and save my wonder for old wrestling.

its weird to hear corny put over chris hero cuz jim hates ian rotten so much but hero came from ians fed iwa mid south. hero was amazing in that fed feuding with cm punk and carrying a bunch of sub par talent to great matches. he is one of the best to lace up his boots imo.

also just because guys worked for iwa mid south doesnt mean they worked deathmatches. hero, punk and cabana all wrestled there and never did deathmatches. there are tons of guys who worked there that didnt do deathmatches.

IIRC Michaels didn't work at all between the Rumble and WM. He was supposed to be in an 8 man tag at the February PPV (No Way Out?) and ended up having to be replaced, by Jimmy Snuka of all people. I figure the injury was real, but not out for 4 years real, and Vince just told him to stay home rather than have him around pissing off the whole locker room.
