Dude... he could literally have a syndicated TELEVIDION show on Cable TV... doing this for an hour each week.... and i Guarantee... i fucking PROMISE it would blow AEW and WWE out of the water in the ratings. No doubt about it!!! Or better yet.... a podcast. 1 hour a week dedicated to watch alongs. No doubt about it.

I miss this wrestling. I'm 27, but I want to suspend my disbelief. I never watched this live, but this is better than anything i've watched in the past decade and my GF agrees (and she has never watched wrestling before she met me). We watched some AEW stuff the other day and she thought it looked like a bunch of kids playing wrestler and legit fell asleep, yet we watch Vader vs. Shawn and she is hanging on every move. Wrestling when done right can still capture the average persons imagination.

Jim and Brian: more content like this, it's great to see the Midnight Express in action with some context thrown in (as a Brit growing up in the 90s I had no access to all this good stuff).

Bobby Eaton was(is?) the best goddamn worker of all time. He couldn't promo worth a damn, but that's what they had Jim Cornette for! I loved the Eaton/Lane incarnation of the Midnight Express above all other tag teams as a kid, and even then I could tell what an amazing talent Eaton was. He could take a bump that made his opponent look like a million bucks, but could also execute damn near any move you could think of, and never slowed down even if he was put in a scaffold match, the kind of stupid shit match where everyone just sorta clings to the scaffold and hope they don't have to take the drop accidentally. Bobby would still put on a show, he would take a backdrop 30ft up in the air, he would deliver insanely risky moves hanging from the damn scaffolding, and as the bad guy was always the one to take the sickest bump falling from the scaffold, but he did it. FUcking amazing wrestler. I wish I could meet him in person some day and thank him. I'd probably choke up like the 'It's still real to me, dammit!' guy and embarass the shit out of him, but I'd do it anyway. cos he was THE fucking best.

The honestly the play by play made this match five times greater........and it shows that big spots do not have to be handed out every ten seconds..... build your crowd up and take them home✅ The build is the greatest piece missing today...!!

Maybe cause the wrestling purists aren't actually wrestling purists, they're just WWE marks using it as an excuse to shit on AEW. Oh wait, everybody already knew that.
