Can't believe I'm only finding this now. I like Brian, and I get that when shots get fired you can expect shots fired back, but when somebody criticizes Lance Storm for not being good in the ring, that reflects far worse on the guy making those accusations than it does on Storm. People talk the Mt Rushmore of wrestling which is a great debate, the Rushmore for managers though is much easier in my opinion, but let's start that discussion now... My 4: Heenan, Cornette, Heyman, Jimmy Hart. Who's your's?

@gravewax5892
@gravewax5892 3 жыл бұрын
@@jonjohnson1978. yeah every one of those definitely deserve to be in the conversation. I think if Gary woulda gone to wwf/e or even had a long enough run in more modern wcw and been guided more on the entertainment side of things to make him less "dry" or "flat" he'd have been damn good. He played the heel manager to a tee, he just lacked that personality that people like Heenan, Cornette, Heyman, and others had and in that era as direct competition to them to me is where he never lived up. And yeah Blassie and Wizard definitely belong. Sherri was incredible, especially taking bumps n everything, and really for a face manager, Elizabeth was great too! But I think she owed all of her success to being the perfect compliment to Randy. But yeah this makes me miss the art of managers that's missing today.
@jonjohnson1978.

@@gravewax5892 managers are definitely missed.....early 90s wwf was my favourite period likely because I was a child......only one I dont agree on there is Elizabeth she was grt with randy but strictly as a manager she was the shits ....but apreciate she had a 'role' and did it well....the grand wizard was a grt promo

@@jonjohnson1978. yeah without Randy Liz woulda been nothing. Cuz even when Hogan got in the mix it was shit. Yeah I'm right in that age bracket. Another great manager that only worked with 1 or 2 was ole Paul Bearer... Taker- great, Kane- great, Mankind-ehhhhh not so much, and ANYONE else-NO lol. Fuji was great as strictly heel manager, but his beyond broken English would make it impossible today for him. Another sleeper was when Harley Race managed Vader in wcw. Teddy Long in wcw was great too. Him with Doom and the Skyscrapers, but especially Doom, he was amazing. God just rattling off these names, EVERYONE had a manager lmao

Brian just made a comment about Jericho's peck. He is allowed to say he thinks his work isn't what it used to be. Everyone does get old. Lance Storm is a prick,was a prick in his ECW days,still a prick now. People here think marks have to show ultimate respect to everyone who wrestles. Respect is earned,they have to earn ours not the other way around. They make their living on our dollars and what we think they are worth. It's the business plain and simple.
