I always like thoughts on how to best play the decks, so the possible weaknesses and mulligan advice at the end is a welcome addition.

Really love the weaknesses section of the video! Please keep that as a continuing segment of the videos. I also love your take on the Rod "problem" as I feel like once people play it enough, they realize it's just a strong thing that Curse decks do, and it is not going to break the game in half. Especially where Bless decks are so freaking good now with such minimal effort, I don't think that a 2-3 card combo that just enables better efficiency for Curse is really all that bad (and otherwise Curse is vaguely not that great by comparison).

15:40 has 2 different spelling mistakes for Carnamagos, do I win the game? :P Thanks for the video, I admire your eternal quest to make Jim good. Also think the weaknesses and mulligans section is a great addition.

It's tech like this that has me looking at blood of thoth with a wary eye. Getting to give any player an action during the fast window screams silly shenanigans and boss cheese tactics.

Yeah, I don't see how this interaction is a problem for the game. It takes several parts to put together, and the power boost it gives is hardly completely broken. It's ok if combos exist that are good.

I think the "problem" may be that there are other cards that try to give you a better chance at drawing curses/symbols and the rod as it is right now not only makes most of them almost completely obsolete but also prevents potential future interesting designs from existing and being relevant. None of this might be an actual problem but it may be one of the things people don't like about the interaction. Another annoying thing is that the interaction is unintuitive for some people and it's not very clear why it works this way with the current rules that we have for skill tests and tokens being revealed, resolved etc.

@@PlayingBoardGames It's an obscure interaction that, as you said, will eventually get fixed one day (in a FAQ probably). But let's hope that we have some time before it does though.

If Rod of Carnamagos works this way, does it also mean that, say if Daisy Walker uses Farsight to play a Voice of Ra during a skill test, that also counts as the tokens being revealed during a skill test?

Have you tried Nkoshi? His ability to make bad symbols into skulls feels like it would have a home in Jim...

I've given it a shot in a standalone and it was alright, I think Olive 2 probably outperforms him, but it's still a fun thing to try. HOWEVER, Nkosi with bless tokens may be the real secret.

I'm trying him at FHV with a bless Kohaku. Got only 1 copy because I was missing xp. The symbols in FHV hit hard, so i thought it was a good way to go, and sometimes cultist have good effects. I dont have TIC, so deck isnt using Covenant, which would make bless Nkoshi very strong as well, imo.
