Batman examining Gordon's glasses seems to forget in the previous issue he knocked Gordon in the face and knocked his glasses off and they looked broken. Chip in this issue had Gordon say Nakano got a punch in and that was the reason ....Batman did you somehow forget you also punched Gordon?

They probably won’t. The mayor was right about them only being together out of a distraction from their loneliness. That’s not a strong foundation for a healthy relationship. And she’s mentally ill, and Jim has a history of ignoring the warnings signs when it comes to the mental health of the people he cares about. Look at his son James Jr.

Wait I’m confused, didn’t one of the handles of the glasses break when Batman hit him…also with how many Batman arcs that pinpoint on the importance of family it feels weird that batgirl isn’t in this story

That's what's driving me crazy, Batman knocked the hell out of Gordon and his glasses look broken at the end when they were slumped on the floor looking at each other, we have to assume Batman took Gordon to jail so where did Gordon get another pair of glasses? Gordon's telling Batman the reason they're broke is because the mayor punched him..... Batman can't be so stupid to forget he struck Gordon in the face

I like it so far. It feels like I'm getting my money's worth from these issues. Not a big fan of the year one style in this issue but it's still good. I'm glad that we haven't seen any bat-family members running around ruining the story

I’m new into comics question does Batman comic and detective comic are they the same Batman and if they are the same Batman how doesn’t there story cross each other for example fail safe storyline

Of course they are the same Batman, its just batman's life is so full of adventures he needs 2 books to cover them all. Over the years some writers (but not all) have chosen Detective to tell more down to earth crime based stories while Batman is more of the superhero. Detective comics despite being the older book often less eyes on it meaning the writers are free to take more creative chances.
