This is a rare jewel. Good for Sco to be with DR Of advanced Music Jim Hall in a tie. His generation did not like to wear ties unless it was symbolically important

I was recently wondering how it was that Hall recorded studio albums with both Frisell and Metheny, but not Scofield. There are moments on Hall's 1975 live recordings (the v.2-4 set specifically) where Hall is digging into bluesy licks that sound not so different from Scofield. Lots of small nuances from Hall's playing show up in Sco style. So this is a treat, allowing me to hear them together at last.
