This is actually a Netflix show. The real show doesn't have these camera moves. Like Juho said, this uploader snags the show, and changes the camera perspective in an editor. That gets around the KZbin copyright robots. It's all about this uploader trying to get views.

Meeting him backstage at a show doesn't in any way mean that you have any idea what he's "really" like. Could be a nice guy, could be an ass. All you know is he wasn't rude to you. Not like you're a paying customer or anything... >_> Hella naive, to be frank. There's one thing and one thing only he needs to do to win the moment, and that's make us laugh. If you somehow aren't attune to this nuance of comedy, why are you even watching this?

WRONG. SO WRONG IT HURTS. His comedy is HIS comedy. Or whoever's he heard/borrowed it from. The only time being Australian mattered is in the premise of his gun-laws bit about mass shootings (different set), which is actually a joke about America, but uses Australia's share of mass shootings as the hook/premise. Countries don't get to take credit for an individual's contributions to HUMAN culture and experience. That's like referring to Beethoven's 9th as Austria's or Germany's 9th. Nicht.

5:30 'As a hetero, we've got nothing..' Great comedians articulate stuff we've been joking about internally for years. Another thing is that except for aphasic people, who HASN'T blurted out something publicly only to be drowned in a whirlpool of shame and self-loathing? Okay, l'm going back to 5:30. Cheers.
@AngryMuppet914 ай бұрын
Speak for yourself. Also, comedians don't 'articulate stuff'. Their role is cathartic release, not banging the drums of culture wars. They build tension through expectation, and deliver at skillfully timed moments to achieve maximum effect. Just happens to be easier to hold a crowd's attention long enough to build said tension with politically charged premises/hooks and/or funny gags/wordplay. The purpose/intent isn't to drive a point, it's to offset reality's propensity to contradict many of our most 'fundamental' expectations in life (justice, fairness, etc.) via rhetorical theatre. Typical recipe: - Build a narrative/premise (has to be obvious) - Tensive setup/inquiry [a how-come/why-did/how-many/who-is the audience is likely to have ambiguous or internally-conflicting opinions regarding] - Punch-line delivery (wherein tension is relieved by assuming a trivial/tenable context instead of the real, untenable and/or controversial original and solving the otherwise unsolvable) It's cathartic stress-relief. Not "saying what we've all been thinking". What you're doing is projecting onto comedians the same role everybody projected onto Trump in 2016 - which is a bullshit/fantasy role/character that "fixes" controversies/issues with catchy one-liners/zingers.
