Rewatching From, you realize how much time and things Donna has done in the stories. I don’t see her as a side character but main character that does smart things. Like telling Jim not to talk about the voice on radio. And Boyd coming to her about Sara and Donna telling Boyd to talk to Kenny’s mom. She makes smart decisions and does the thinking that other characters don’t always do. I don’t get the whole Donna as someone spying on others. People just come to her telling their deal

So excited for more From content and theories! He was a boy in the 70s and still a boy in present day. I don’t think he’s ever going to grow up. Plus we know “he’s not a boy”… imho BiW is a benevolent entity that has been trying to help the people who are trapped/lost/cursed/whatever.

I think the dogs belong to radio man, not sure who/what they really are though. Probably part of the same “security system” that imploded the Matthews’s house - when they got too close to answers.

Boyd unalived Abby because she was going to unalive Ellis. He didnt shoot Abby until she pointed her gun at Ellis.

5:04 Donna stayed behind as a leader for the people, so what she has done is still important. her and Boyd are similar in the way that they have a sense of responsibility and understand how to take initiative where no foundation exists. this is why she is our confidant character, we naturally trust her. but i agree with some of your points here (not driving the plot forward), and it would be cool to see her being able to focus on long term strategy versus day to day survival.

I believe that BIW is not benevolent, maybe he has some preferences among human subjects... The fact that he helped Tabitha does not mean that he sympathizes with the human cause, it was the most effective method to get rid of her in order to keep secure the human farm. The BIW is just an avatar of a powerful sentient being.
