Workers had either hit another car, or just - I don't
Know what happened - but there were Indians scattered
All over the highway, bleeding to death.
So the car pulls up and stops. That was the first time I tasted fear.

Is that the souls of the ghosts of those dead Indians

My mother was very psychic, very much so, she told me many things. In my childhood home I sensed & saw many things not of this world. My mother & I would tell each other of our experiences. She knew when people were going to die, she had dead relatives & other peoples dead come through & relay messages to her. When she died I always thought she would come through to me but she never did, she’s been dead ten years now & nothing..very strange, perhaps she didn’t want to scare me?

Now I understand him a lot better. He was obviously traumatized by the indians he saw dying as he said it was the first time he felt fear. This stayed with him and haunted him which led him to his substance use to blot out the pain. Similar to myself really, having been traumatized when I was 14 which led to my own alcohol problems. On another unrelated and light hearted note, when I hear Jim speaking I'm always reminded of Garfield the cartoon cat...

You put up great rare Doors stuff. Thanks! Never heard this whole tape before, and I've heard it all! I taped 2 Doors shows in my day. 2 Los Angeles concerts. Still have the tapes. No one has ever heard those shows in the quality I have them in. May sell the tapes one of these days....

If you wait much longer there won’t be enough people around to be interested in them. You won’t be around either! There’s little point trying to sell them to The Doors. They won’t pay. You might as well release them and benefit from seeing others enjoy your efforts and being grateful to you!
