AEW was always gonna have the edge early on. Vince was putting out crap product and people were tired of it. AEW was new and fresh. But vice didn’t beat AEW. AEW beat themselves by not learning from the past. All Vince had to do was wait for the inevitable to happen.

They aren’t competing. They competing with WWE developmental and losing. Their show is the shits and it’s sad when even JR can’t make sense of the shit he sees on there

There’s a lot of really great wrestlers in AEW that WWE would love to have. WWE got better and AEW got worse, but to act like they’re just a bunch of rookies is silly

Needs more bookers. It's just all over the place. Khan is stretched thin as it is with all his enterprises. The Hangman story was so well done, and I haven't seen a compelling story like that since.

Anyone who thinks they were ever competing has no idea how business works. The infrastructure alone has WWE too far ahead from the jump. The on screen product is inconsequential.
@varunpadalkar7 күн бұрын
Agree completely with never truly being competition to wwe, but it's the on screen product that has lost so many viewers they had for the first 3 years
@whisperienced7 күн бұрын
@varunpadalkar for AEW yes I agree. For WWE even when their product was bad they still had millions tuning in just because of the markets they have access to.

Havent watched WWE since 2011 and dont plan on watching it again. AEW I atleast enjoy watching it and never will care about what the haters think.

There’s no competition. It’s major league vs minor league.

WWE needs competition because it's been chugging along at 10% since the Attitude era. I prefer 1992 WWF to whatever slop they're putting out now.
@zackphy7 күн бұрын
As great as the Attitude Era was, I watched the entire thing from b4 it until well after it, if you go back and watch say a random episode of Raw from 98 there's a LOT of shit on there. You'd have a great segment or 2, of course, but a large part of it is absolute garbage. Problem is they don't have the incredible highs to go along with those lows to offset it. The bad is not nearly as bad as then, but the good also isn't nearly as good either. Don't get me wrong, I love the raunchy shit and it's not that I'm offended by a lot of it like a lot of ppl claim to be now, a lot of it is just truly terrible. I personally think the Ruthless Agression Era overall had the best top to bottom shows. If WWE ever did get true competition(AEW had a shot at one point and blew it) and was able to pair the highs of the Attitude Era alongside stars of Austin, Rock, Mankind, Taker caliber alongside the really good middle ground they have now they could rival the Attitude/RA Eras in terms of quality. But I don't think that no matter how good it gets they could ever reach late 90s popularity ever again. We still had a "monoculture" going on at that time where everyone could only watch what was shown on the limited tv channels, they really didn't have too much of a choice like ppl do now with the internet. WWF was drawing more and getting better ratings than the NFL during that time. So, WWE could put out the best content ever, surpassing Attitude, and they'd still never reach the heights of Attitude in terms of popularity, it's just not possible in this time of unlimited choice.
