Blaidd the Half Wolf Roleplay (Elden Ring ASMR - Welsh Accent)

Here’s an ASMR Elden Ring roleplay, my homage to Hidetaka Miyazaki and George R. R. Martin’s recent release. In this relaxing - let’s face it - Dark Souls style immersive roleplay, you encounter a dubiously-faced Blaidd the Half Wolf deep within the ruins of Mistwood (for oblivious aims you decided to hide in a stone-sealed sarcophagus). Blaidd releases you from the grave and promises to protect you while you rest and recover, though he doesn’t stop talking in a soft-spoken Welsh lilt. Around you are ambient nature noises as day turns to dusk and a fire gently crackles away beside you.
In case you can’t tell (lol), I made the mask myself and pieced together the rest of the Blaidd cosplay from existing things. After my first attempt at a wolf asmr, where I botched together a Halloween mask, I decided to make this one from scratch using foam, fur, hot glue, and lots of hope… I think it turned out okay, but go easy on it!
Oh, and full disclosure, I haven’t even got around to playing the game yet… But after it was requested a few times, I couldn’t resist when I heard the natural Welsh accents from the voice actors. I honestly thought they were going to pronounce his name ‘blade’, so was thrilled when they didn’t - coincidentally the Blaidd VA Scott Arthur is from Llanelli, which is where my disinterested cop video was set. The accent I ended up going with is actually my ‘hometown drunk’ voice - a Powys twang. Y’know, when you go to your hometown, have a few [British alcoholic and flat] ciders, start talking like a local again, and then sacrifice a goat for a plentiful harvest. Anyway, enjoy!

🎙 What is ASMR? 🎧
ASMR (autonomous sensory meridian response) is synaesthesia of the soul. It’s a relaxing feeling, it’s a tingling down the spine, or it’s simply a sleep aid. Whether it’s being ‘held’ by someone you have confidence in, or ‘looked after’ by someone with authority, or just feeling ‘safe’ with someone you trust, it uses audio-visual triggers to enable you to let go of your worries and stresses - even just for a bit.
📽 What is FPC? 🎞
FPC (first person cinema) takes all the relaxing elements of ASMR but has much more of a focus on immersion and the suspension of disbelief. It’s kinda like being the main character in your own short movie, with popular figures you know and love, or entirely created worlds - just for you. There won’t be any visible mics or traditional triggers in these videos, and they will seem more unintentional than the usual ASMR videos - but they are unique and relaxing experiences designed to transport you to different places, worlds, and times.

@@user-sh2nv6vz6l iirc it’s pretty much because aside from being a protector of Ranni, he was also to spy on her for the Two Fingers. When Ranni leaves, the Two Fingers attempt to control Blaidd to kill Ranni (he says stuff like “I would never hurt Ranni”), but resists until he sees us at the tower and snaps. It’s also the reason Iji imprisons him, and the reason why he later apologises after learning the extent to which Blaidd went to protect Ranni.

@@user-sh2nv6vz6l Nebby got it, Blaidd was made by the Order for the sole purpose of serving Ranni, but if she ever betrayed the two fingers he would be forced to kill her against his will. Very sad T^T then the Order sends the black knife assassins after Iji as well. More sad.

That’s wrong though. Most of the characters who are willing to speak to you eventually either die or end up your enemy. There are exceptions, but most of the people that survive long enough only end up as another foe for us to face.

@@ZhongliArchonofSwag Well first off. That's a spoiler for anyone who hasn't played elden ring. Second, while the formor is true, the latter is not. Many of the questlines that do have that, they are not truly your enemy. There is always a story/lore reason and some of the times, they're even unwilling. Only one person from the roundtable is someone who truly wants to kill you, the rest play out their own stories which may result in one thing or another. So I still go with my answer, anyone who's sane enough to speak is probably a friend. Something may happen to them later down the line, but they're still a friend, not a foe.

@@Zwei22 I mean I intentionally didn’t say who, for the reason of avoiding spoilers, but Spoilers! Fia, Gideon, Ensha, Irina’s Father, Blaidd, Maliketh, Dung Eater, White Mask, Guy who lets you into castle, they’re the major examples, but not even all of them. Yes Blaidd’s the exception, given he’s being forced against his will, but in the case of Maliketh and anyone from the Round table who takes they’re duties seriously, you were always enemies, it’s just not immediately obvious. The point though is that just because someone’s willing to speak to you or offer a hug, doesn’t mean they’re a friend. And in Blaidd’s case, just because they’re a friend doesn’t mean they’re not also a foe.

This was wonderful. Love this character - fierce and tender hearted. The mask is fantastic. The voice smooth and comforting. Towards the end when Blaidd said “if you should dream, dream in color” actually brought a tear to my eye. ♥️

The mask is indeed a great improvement, good job! It also seems to be much more comfortable to wear than the Fane mask. I’d be curious to see Blaidd in daylight, but perhaps he is a nocturnal soul. He is so expressive without all the facial muscles as well. Lovely, melancholic, wistful, and soothing all at once.

I loved everything about this video! I've been on the fence about Elden Ring since I'm not sure if I'd have time to actually play. I divide my time between Everquest, Everquest II, Guild Wars, Guild Wars 2, Lord of the Rings Online, and, most recently (thanks to you, Jim) Raid Shadow Legends. Anyway, the costume is truly awesome but then you are a talented individual so it's not surprising. Your Welsh accented voice, I could listen to that all day, at least until I fell asleep. I actually thought your first attempt at a wolf mask was pretty good, but I have to say this one with the articulated jaw, the teeth and the whole mouth in general is on another level, it’s phenomenal my friend.
