I have used this product twice on my wife’s car now. Both times with the car wet I spray the entire car, glass and all then wipe it all down then rinse. I am very happy with this product.

I used this on a new truck about 20 months ago. Granted the vehicle is garaged most of the time, but I washed it a couple weeks ago and it still had plenty of life and beaded nicely. I did the wipe on process when i applied it the first time and it's really easy to use, doesn't streak, and there's like no clean up involved. Love this stuff.

Been trusting Meguiars products for yrs. This did not disappoint. I will agree after wetting surface and spraying the product it doe nothing. But wet surface and then spray and sit a few seconds and wiping into surface then spraying off beads like crazy and the shine is tremendous. So just my recommendation is spray wipe in then rinse then dry to brilliant shine. Still testing durability we have a few rain storms coming so will see how it holds up to daily commute.

The initial base coat "drying aid" rub in is to lay the foundation, the subsequent spray and rinse is maintenance. If you completely remove it with super clean it wouldn't be on there anymore which is why it didn't work with the spray and rinse. It's not that hard to understand...

Works better with most products like this if you rub it in. I apply Gyeon wetcoat with a damp to wet applicator and buff it off after the car is dried and not how Gyeon suggests you apply it, spray on and rinse off. Much more economical and I can get it to last up to 5 months this way.

According to Maguiars, on subsequent applications, the purpose of rinsing the product off well instead of wiping it in is to get rid the carrying agents that are very hydrophilic. The hydrophobic ingredients (Silca) bond to the paint. If you apply too much and/or do not rinse well, the hydrophilic carrying agents will stay on the vehicle's finish and will counteract the Silca which is defeating the purpose of using this product. It is so easy to use and it is so effective. My car's paint looks amazing

I am confused about what is the best for my truck and how all the products interact with one another. What would you recommend as the best product for a do it your selfer? I wish I had seen your video first. I went to another KZbinr and spent way more time than necessary. This worked the best for me. Many thanks!

Can this also go on the auto glass, rubber/plastic trim and front headlights and rear taillights? Thanks, great review! Also can you use a blower to dry it off after the final rinse?

I just washed my car and truck. THEN SKIPPED STEP 4 BECAUSE IT WAS THE INITIAL APPLICATION. I can already tell you that this stuff will be awesome. Here are the directions straight from the bottle: DIRECTIONS: SHAKE WELL. The car should be cool to the touch & in the shade 1. Wash your car with any Meguiar's car wash, following the directions on the label. 2. Rinse the vehicle thoroughly of all wash soap. 3. Spray Meguiar's Hybrid Ceramic Wax over all exterior surfaces. 4. Starting at the roof, use a strong stream of water to rinse the vehicle a second time. The hydropower of this rinse will spread the product, coating all the exterior with our Hybrid Ceramic protection. 5. Dry the vehicle with a quality microfiber drying towel, like Meguiar's Water Mag FOR THE INITIAL APPLICATION of Meguiar's Hybrid Ceramic Wax, skip Step 4 (second rinse) & go directly to 5 (dry), using a clean, dry towel for the final wipe. This establishes a foundational layer of protection that will be enhanced with subsequent product applications using the "wax-as-you-rinse"method.

If you used a soap on wash mit to remove super clean residue, I wonder if it would be more alive

Will it works on all surfaces? Great video!

Works great! Wondering if i can use my now obsolete orbiter with a polishing bonnet to get a better luster? I am having no streaking issues just and the shine it has with just drying the car off is great, just wondering if an extra step will give it a wetter look!

have an extra "just" in there for some reason.

Your reference to McKees is really frustrating. I remember the video where you applied it contrary to the product directions, but don’t recall an issue with windows in that video. In which video did you apply it properly and have issues with window streaking?
@autodetailingpodcast5 жыл бұрын
When I applied it to my truck before doing a video on it.

What is the meguiars professional ceramic coating called or part number. Also would like to see you test ceramic coating that dry the fastest with best results for the mobile detailer. Thanks in advance

So after initial app, to save product, maybe just mix it down with 25 to 30 percent distilled water and use it as a detailing spray.

That’s a great idea!

I would like to see a demo on a faded paint surface. Also, how long does it hold up? I wonder if using Rainix would do the same thing on paint.
@autodetailingpodcast5 жыл бұрын
thats good idea. I would say this would last less then 6 months.
