The Eternal Emperor doesn't draw cards but it does everything else. I love that she has not a "minus bajillion" game ender ability but several nice ones. Especially the single combat she can -4 for.

I know it's passed now, but another piece of advice I'd give the person going to their first pre-release is don't be afraid to ask an opponent to slow down. My first or very early pre-release event I went to was with a buddy while in college. One of the teams was just talking and making actions so fast my buddy and I didn't really have any idea what they were doing or if what they were doing was legal or not. Not saying they cheated but we just were overwhelmed and ended up losing without really understanding why.

Kaito is cool, don't know what deck he belongs in but probably not this one tbh, since his passive and first plus are best when you already have creatures by the time he comes down. Very jack of all trades but doesnt solve this decks issue of staying alive before turn 5/6

Abzan walkers could be good though; new compleated Nissa was doing work on Crokeyz stream at dismantling the very artifact and enchantment heavy decks in the meta. Her +1 is also just generally good even when her -1 isnt at its best.
