This might be the best cover of Red House in true Hedrixian style. I know blues is improvisational, but that intro has to be just right, as Jimi did it. His sliding the timing was the one most exciting riffs I'd ever heard.

This is the best Red House cover style ....it is Jimi Hendrix's best song cover style, but I can't find it on any of his recordings until hearing the song done here as it's genuine match. Awesome, the best of Hendrix and perfect copy ...thanks

Hendrix, undeniably, no one can dance the neck of a guitar like he did. Prince's version is, well, his version, and it is a real treat! You however romanced the original version unlike any I have ever seen or heard... SMOOTHER THAN A 12 YEAR OLD SCOTCH! I absolutely loved it... Cheers!

Brother, this the best cover I’ve heard to date. Not to take anything away from some of the other covers that are nice but to hear you cover a song that I also learned note for note on bass is tremendous. You simply kicked some serious ass on this one man I’d like to see you do some other covers I’m sure you’ve done quite a few others. Keep up the good work for sure.

This is awesome man. You even got the little Hendrixisms down, like the little slide up the neck in the solo at 2:51. This is in my top 5 of Hendrix songs, so I clearly love this. I'm a pretty capable player, but never even attempted this because, well, I feel like no one can duplicate Hendrix's style, really. But I must say you did a pretty remarkable job. The amount of creativity Jimi had still dumbfounds me. This is just straightforward blues, but NO ONE puts together notes the way he did. Every note in this song feels like it's exactly where it should be, but if a million guitarists solo'ed over this track, none would do what he did here. Thanks for this cover man; as you can tell, I thoroughly enjoyed!

i can only find this exact version on the jimi hendrix experience greatest hits album. and also its on youtube on the "city of angels" sound track i think. the only other versions i found are live, electric church red house, or a different album version that doesn't sound as fuzzy and delicious.

Dam good rendition. All the nuances are there. Keep up the great guitar playing. I am a copy artist bass player. We used to play this in our band. We played classic rock and blues. I learned the bass line to this note for note and believe me there's alot going on in it. Fun to play. Jimmi played with alot of soul.

Definitely a thumbs up for me! This is one of my old time favorite songs that always brings me joy when I hear it played, that is properly; and you nailed it! I heard many versions of it, from those that really tried to those obviously gifted. Problem is that many gifted tend to over-do it, crowding as many notes as they can showing off their dexterity. Yes, they sound really good and one can appreciate their skill but it gets tiring after awhile. Your version has the right amount of embellishment, beautiful timing and timbre: it is the one that gives me the most pleasure listening to! Geat job and Thank you.
