Duchovny is underrated as well. He's incredibly funny in a much more dry way. I say Martin Short is underrated because he should be a household name as brilliant as he is, and has been for decades.

The 'this is private' bit is so fabulous, but Duchovny gets him back at the end & you can see from Short's laugh that he actually breaks character. Well done, this one is lovely & funny at the same time.

I like David Duchovny a lot. I'm kind of fascinated by him, and that monotone he has. That sleepy, unphased sort of demeanor he has all the time. I really feel like one day he's going to release a press statement saying he's been sleepwalking for 20 years, has just woken up, and is amazed at everything that happened. I hope it happens during a Californication sex scene. Talk about morning wood, yeesh.

The Jiminy Glick interviews ... PLEASE! A slice of genius. How the h*** did he come up with this?! And, too, how many hours did it take to put the makeup on? Talk about suffering for your art. Martin ... Jiminy ... and all your guests ... great job ... great art!
@Danmark30 Жыл бұрын
He based the character on a local public access talk show host here in Los Angeles. Try to search for SKIP E. LOW and you will see where he got the idea. This guy used to have all kinds of old celebrities and has beens and he would listen intently or ramble on singing their praises or not listen and move onto the next topic. He had some very good guests.

@dan_hitchman0074 жыл бұрын
Yes. There is a brief setup, but it's almost all improved. If it's a woman and Short hits on her or jumps in her lap as Glick (like with Sharon Stone), they normally would say something ahead of time that Short might do that.
