The sight of Jiminy unconsciously stuffing donuts into his mouth as Jon Stewart recounts his addiction and feelings of emptiness is one of the greatest strokes of spontaneous comedic genius I've ever seen

@@KoH4711 The pile of donuts is a fixture in every Show’s ‘interview’ and of Jiminy Glick’s character. How it’s used and played by both M.S. and J.S. on this scene is what’s spontaneous.

The paralleling that Jon and Martin do in that smoking/eating bit is amazing; almost so perfect it seemed it had to be rehearsed; but I think it just developed; Jon deserves a lot of credit for his perfect timing in that. Nothing takes the funny out of a subtle joke than having to explain it to someone. It's DOA now.
