Anyways, I want to give a huge thanks to the elevator technician for giving me a behind the scenes view of an old vintage Dover elevator from the 1970's! Everything is entirely original from its first installation. First, I got to view into an elevator shaft showing both the pit and the cartop located in the hoistway access. Next, I was invited to see the machine room of the elevator itself. Dry-powered hydraulic pump machine. You can definitely see the drive system of the motor as the elevator car goes up, as well as the relays. Definitely the best content I have ever created!
