Almost got stuck on the old Dover Hydraulic Freight Elevator at PlazAmericas Mall in Houston, TX.

Filmed on April 11, 2015: I was getting a 1080p take of this vintage 70's Dover freight elevator and when we reached up to the second floor, it got stopped without the doors opening. As I pushed every buttons, it did not do anything and after I stopped my camera. I pushed and pulled the emergency stop switch. Then the bell rang and finally the doors opened. Talk about a Dover quality! So this was a FULL COMPARISON to Andrew (DieselDucy) where he almost got stuck in the Dover Impulse elevator in a Carillons hospital somewhere in Roanoke, VA.

This reminds me of DieselDucy's video of getting stuck in that Dover freight elevator at a mall in 2013. The only difference with his video is that he broke out of it and it had gotten stuck while it was moving.

Hey jim! I was wanting to tell that today evening I am staying in RNS residency hotel. After I finished swimming, i went back up to the 4th floor and all of a sudden my dad's spectacles got lost. So, i went down back to the basement where the swimming pool is located and in front of the pool, the is a large room where there are 3-4 diesel generators. When I found that my dad's spectacles are not there near the pool , I decided to go back up to our room. When the elevator came , I pushed and doors closed , one second later , the lights went out and i got stuck in the elevator. I put on the flashlight from my phone and my dad decided to call security. While trying to call the security , I heard a loud roar of the D.G. sets starting up together. 10 seconds later, the lights turned on in the elevator , the doors opened and the security man came inside the elevator and went to level G. I was saved.

Interesting... I wish you had kept the camera going the whole time though. Other than that, this video perfectly exhibits what being stuck in an elevator is like. Because of that, I have left a like on this video! ;-)
