First time I saw him at C-Boys here in Austin on Congress I walked in and thought where's the bass player. Turns out the keyboardist is so good with that organ they don't need one because he plays all the bass lines with the bass footpedals on his organ.

Sometimes, less is more. I've always liked that about Jimmie's music: he knows when to pause, when to listen to or support the rest of band.

Yeah! They epitomize what vintage blues is supposed to be. They even did justice to classic jazz blues with the Slide Hampton tune. I figure that the organist must be playing bass with the pedals. He has got it going on! He's so musical on the organ! Where is the bass player? I hear bass lines.

I bought a Jimmy Vaughn guitar 🎸 It's Looks very much like the one in the picture at the beginning of this video. However the tremolo arm is on the top. Then head neck has been signed by original members. This guitar looks absolutely 💯 natural road worn. It plays and feels like the best looking woman in the world 🌎. If there is anyone out there, who knows about it's origin, perhaps 🤔 it belonged to Jimmie himself, please let me know. I think if it really belonged to him,he might be missing it... The wild thing is that Jimmie spent a large chunk of his career just playing guitar and not singing. Stevie got Jimmie to sing on their "brothers" album, Family Style, in 1990. And everybody got bug-eyed, "Jimmie can SING!"
