The roster construction of the Heat has always been weird the last decade. It worked for a few years, but I don't think it was ever a championship roster. Jimmy might be frustrated with that and then not get the extension he wanted.

You do know that’s because of Jimmy’s play style right? He occupies the dunkers spot and worked the mid range…all while being a pass-first player without wanting to run point like LeBron. So now you have slow Bigs (outside of Bam) outside of paint getting taken out of their ideal positions or undersized players running small ball to accommodate the lack of space/shooting on the outside.

@NellofTOC I get that. But, it's not just the Jimmy era in Miami. Since Lebron left, the Heat has been weird. They tried to compete with aging Wade and Bosh. Then they had that weird Winslow playoff run, if I'm not mistaken. Players like Tyler Johnson and undrafted guys flourished for a few stretches. But you're always not sure if they are rebuilding or trying to compete. They were in no man's land until they got Jimmy. Edit: Not to mention those times they thought Whiteside is a star prospect, and they were trying to revive the career of Dion Waiters.

The big issue with this butler situation and suspension is now not only do we have to ask what team will want to take on that much salary… but also what team will be excited about taking on this disgruntled over the hill toxic teammate type of player
