Funny you mentioned Teletubbies, because the costumes for them were absolutely huge, like over 7 foot, so they bred their own race of giant rabbits to make the scale look right. Which is interesting because a decade later they didn’t seem to care about the scale issues of In the Night Garden. I’m very passionate about this apparently.

Swamp hares are about two feet long, and can carry rabies. And ones that are swimming at and trying to get into a boat are acting very damned weird, which is often a sign of rabies. So discouraging it from getting within biting distance isn't a bad idea.
