Every time I see a slo-mo replay of an injury like this I remember one of the SF-Cincy Super Bowls. A guy last named Crumrie was the nose tackle for the Bengals and on the first series, his foot caught in the turf and his shin bone snapped in half and the lower part of his leg was just pinwheeling as he fell to the ground but the announcers didn't see the injury and they replayed it three times trying to see how he injured his leg and by the third time I'm screaming at the TV, "NOOOO!!!! Don't show it again." Fun times.

To think Brock Purdy would still be backup if this injury didn’t happen, it’s crazy how an injury can change a team, if Jimmy G didn’t get injured, it would’ve been him or Lance as the starter this year, or they both stayed and Purdy left, the point is this injury changed the future as Purdy would’ve never gotten the chance to do what he did, that’s why as a backup qb you must take advantage of EVERY opportunity you’re given because you never know if you’ll end up being the starter
