The reason why Brock Purdy got a shot in the first place, if Lance didn’t get hurt there’s a chance Purdy goes his entire rookie season without seeing any action as Jimmy G was the backup and would’ve been the one who played if Lance was to go down, when Lance got hurt though I think that gave Purdy some inspiration as he knew he bumped up to the backup and would prepare himself in case he had to start which as we know he did

This is every fan's worry when you have a running quarterback. There is so much talk about guys like Lamar Jackson or Josh Allen, or any QB who is mobile, but for all the running they do, it usually ends the same way: with a devastating injury to their leg. San Francisco are thinking they're lucky stars they hadnt trade Jimmy G yet. Now with Jimmy they are in playoff picture. Lance is just so raw. They should have him sitting for a good 3-4 years behind Jimmy G.. that is exactly how I would have done it because Lance is not from a big school and his hometown where he played High School football is very small and it's not the most fertile ground for football hockey yes football no. This is why they should have him sit and learn for three or four years and then take over the position

Seems like more Seahawks worried about Lance then 49ers themselves. 0:16 Lance is withering in pain and no one seemed to care from his offensive line.

I've been a 49er fan for over 30 years, and I feel bad for him too. I hate that it had to happen this way, but I'm glad Jimmy has his starting job back, the team has a much better chance of winning with him under center. How you bench the guy that got you to the NFC championship last season, is beyond me. It makes me wonder about coach Shanahan. The only move I can think of that was stupider than that, is when the Bills benched Doug Flutie in favor of Rob Johnson in the playoffs.

Its obvious the coaching staff prefers Jimmy as the starter. This playcalling is designed to get Trey Lance hurt. It's pretty obvious. Tells me alot about the disconnect between the front office and the coaching staff.
