I was 15 when I listened to this album in a music store in Milwaukee. Fell in love with it. Cuzin never gave it back when I let him take it home to listen to. Now here it is on KZbin.

A drumerless trio!. Clarinet/Tenor, Trombone, Guitar. 40-50 yrs. ago. Has serious rhythm, Jimmy Giiffre, BobBrookmeyer, Jim Hall. Listen to them turn "Topsy" inside/out.!!!!

It's way more than that, the first release is 65 years old.

I had the LP in high school, played it all the time as other kids were getting into black sabbath and stupid shit. Still love it 50 years later.

It has held up better than that Black Sabbath shit

Jimmy Guiffre is amazing, BUT so is Sabbath. I would invite you to listen to Planet Caravan all the way through (kzbin.info/www/bejne/iafVgK2PqdN_g6M) and if you still feel the same way, so be it... but there is room for both!!

@@terrywho22 I hear you. It really had more to do with my going towards pschadelics and getting away from the hard drug , drinking types who gravitated towards another sound. A few went to jail for felonies, one murdered a prostitute. It wasn't the music, just the vibe of the kids in my town who gravitated towards it. But I just heard this and really enjoyed it. kzbin.info/www/bejne/b6LGo2pmbdxkfrs

Good on ya. I too never understood the appeal of black sabbath. Mostly gimmick.

Probably a half tone low. Don't think they play Topsy and Blue Monk in A Major.

Giuffrie's name is spelled incorrectly in the title of this upload and the track listing.
