To use a hackneyed & probably exhausted phrase, Jimmy could have sung the 'phone book & moved me to groove! Your late dad was a very lucky chap to have known Jimmy, always singing. Their songs are still great & their lyrics are as relevant today as they were, gulp, I can't believe it, nearly 50 years ago...

This was the big hit at the travelling fairground of 1977 when there were the inevitable coming together of the various gangs who were jockeying for the the greatest fear factor. We were the "LEBB" of Leasowe Merseyside and it was the greatest cultural belonging never surpassed!. 'Those were the days my friends' we owned what ever we wanted and adorned our Lambretta's with the latest in ironing boards whip aerials and any parked cars wing mirrors. Not that we ever bothered looking in them!!
