I was on in 1989. I was picked while out in the hallway waiting to enter the studio to play some games. It was the Bozo team vs the Cooky team. We played 4 or 5 games. My team the Bozo team won. Won a bunch of UNO brand games. Uno deluxe , Uno domino, Uno Snorks and a bunch more. Fun times.

That may be true to an extent. There's an article about Bozo in the online Washington Post from 2021 and a cited survey basically said older people were much less likely to be afraid of clowns than younger people.

WGN has the episodes from the late 80s-2001 intact; the estate of Larry Harmon (Bozo's owner) will not allow them to air these episodes, which is why you never see them on TV and will never be released on DVD. As for anything made before those eras, they are all in fact long gone as WGN reused the tapes and recorded over them.

This show was only shown locally in Chicago on WGN-TV (channel 9) in 1986. WPIX-TV (channel 11) in NYC carried Bozo the Clown during the 1960’s where he showcased games, prizes, fun, and showing cartoons. It continued right up until the end of the 1960’s while the show was carried in so many places, including Chicago where the last Bozo the Clown ran on WGN-TV and continued through the 1990’s.

@HK WGN was a Superstation for many years, which meant it was a local area station (Chicago in this case) that was carried nationwide on cable and satellite. Sadly, they ceased being a superstation back in 2014 and came to an end this year (being replaced with a news channel called NewsNation).

Fuck no. About a year or two later was the first time I kissed a girl and I remember like shortly after that I threw all my toys in a garbage bag and walked down to the dumpster and threw it in.
