A friend brought me a bottle of amber wine, a deeper flavor than I know from the whites. I really loved. The wine is kisi 2020 dry amber

That's a very interesting wine, these skin contact amber wines really bring different characters and flavours out of the grapes.

What are the flavor characteristics of Georgian oak barrels?

Caucasian wood (the wood used for Georgian barrels) has a unique grain profile - tighter than US oak and looser than French - bringing characteristic earthy and nutty features to wines. Georgian oak can also lend flavours of vanilla, caramel, honey, smoke and spice, depending on the age/size/toasting level of the barrels.
