I was sexually abused by my aunt and uncle when I was 4 years old this is when it began and 11 when it ended. I couldn't bear what it would have done to my mother if she ever found out. I can say it put a deep hatred in me for those who do this stuff so much so I believe I would have killed someone if they ever touched my kids. Well they are grown now too and now I worry about my grandkids it seems it will always be in the back of my mind because when I am around my grand youngins I watch everyone family included because I found out that often people are abused by someone the child knows. Not always but often. If any of you has the slightest thought a child is being abused my advice is contact the authorities is better to be safe than sorry. I wish they would have gotten caught then I wouldn't have had to go through what I went though no Child should go through that.

Do you know anything about Steven George, why she was sent to Broadmoor and what she said about her adopted parents? Ch4 surely did, but they did not say. Look at the quality of the evidence against Jimmy Savile.
@utoobjunkie49028 жыл бұрын
Sean Coleman I speak as having been victimized within my own family . There were several in the end who knew and did nothing ! If it is true , in any of those who have made accusations , there are more who knew and did nothing per each abused !!! That's how I know and it will be their own responses under careful questioning that will show them unless of course, they too are sociopaths as well ! Because any good sociopath knows how to answer questions carefully. And more than 1 of them have gotten away with abuses of many types by the time someone begins to ask questions.
@seancoleman50218 жыл бұрын
The Savile case is a witch hunt because when you look at the evidence most of it falls apart almost as soon as you look at it (the rest falls apart later on, on more careful examination). This isn't to say that abuse happens, some of it serious, some not so serious. To understand this point of view (which is held by quite a few people, believe it or not) I would suggest first looking at the late Richard Webster's Sceptical Essays website. These witch hunts are surprisingly common and very dangerous because (of course) people don't realize they are in one at the time. That is why it is extremely important that abusers are identified by hard evidence and not by rumour, hearsay and hysteria. The same can be said about 'enablers', whatever these are exactly. AS it happens, I only started looking into the Savile case in February this year. I was already familiar with the pattern as I had read up about the infamous Casa Pia witch hunt in Portugal and the anti-clerical hysteria in Ireland. I predicted at the time that nearly all of the stories would be unfounded although I allowed for the possibility that a tiny core would be genuine, as this sometimes happens. I don't believe now that any of them are.
@utoobjunkie49028 жыл бұрын
Sean Coleman I know only part of the "facts" as such, in this case in particular. Iam a resident of the USA and I don't feel I have enough knowledge of the investigative entities and laws that affect these cases in Britain / UK. What i can say , is Saville s affect has always bothered me , as many of his verbal responses and visible body responses to questions . At the very least the man had a psychiatric/personality disorder of some sort . And was a hypocrite. I too was raised Catholic and failed at it miserably. It isn't my job to judge him certainly. But there are many quite disturbing parts in his story and details about his life that may never be fully answered. There is definitely some points that are disturbing at best. And if true, and he violated even a portion of those who have charged such, then others had to know. He was a well known, and visible man involved in many business, hospitals ect ect. If true at all, those involved will answer eventually in one way or another. Even if one isn't inclined to believe in a higher power, Karma does come round and we all answer to our karmic making on this earth. Thank you for hearing me out. As I too understand your position and unfortunately "witch hunts" do happen. I come from a place of experience on a family level and based on 35 +yrs nursing experience in Family/Internal Medicine, and Women and Children's Health where I saw what that type of abuse inflicts upon victims for life. I truly hope and pray it isn't what is alledged.

I heard in a documentary a while back, that he had free reign of a hospital where, among others, children and teenagers were treated, for physical AND mental health problems. A senior, powerful head nurse pretty much knew what he was doing when he “visited” the wards for press opportunities. Yet despite being one of the most senior nurses there, she was afraid to say anything, or she would have gotten fired most likely. She said that therefore, she would tell the teenage girls in the beds that if he and his entourage approached the girls’ beds, to turn over and pretend to be asleep, in the hope that he would move on. This poor nurse said she felt extreme guilt for years that she couldn’t do more to help the girls, but she was just too afraid of how influential he was. Just repulsive.

@@ksportz66 you're right to smell something fishy about this whole affair! Why did they wait until he died? Answer: he would have torn those accusations to shreads. Savile came from the bottom, a self made man who ran marathons in his 70's while smoking a cigar! A Real Working Class Hero

It is beyond incredible that this man could be allowed into the most senior position within what is effectively a Government Department (HM Prisons) which is funded by Taxpayers. However, he was also revered in the BBC which was (in the main funded by the British Public). Who knows, maybe future generations will look back and wonder how Dominic Cummings was able to wheedle his way to becoming the puppet Master of the British Prime Minister at a time of disaster in the country. Truth is, the public do not know the answer to that now so far less likely to know in 3 or 4 decades when history has become shadier.
