Howdy, so I'm an American from Missouri (long time viewer) yeah we actually gather at the fairgrounds here and race hopped up lawnmowers. It's not just a Missouri thing either they do it all over in the south. Some of them are pretty crazy the higher up leagues in the unlimited class we ran VP M1 methanol in them absolutely nutty compression ratio, chain conversion, carburetors off 450cc motorcycles, flow bench work for the head, custom ground cams, different bolts to help hold the motors together and even welded on support braces. Frames were cut down it was basically the most hillbilly Karting event you ever seen except its on dirt/gravel and those things cost a lot to run the entire season. There are cheaper classes but the unlimited class is absolutely hilarious and genuinely good racing! It is significantly cheaper and safer to run hornet class actual dirt track cars and we do that too but something about the mower racing is really fun. Was hilarious to see it on this channel mind you they don't look anything like this one but still it was funny to see.
