back in high school days when this came out i remember chilling in my room with a few friends all tripping on acid, and one of my friend's said if anyone made a noise while this was playing we would re-start it from the beginning. which we all agreed too. we had to restart it quite a few times and some of them were definitely on purpose. finding this now and listening too it just brought back that memory, so thank you!!

Thank you for merging the In Sides and The Box EP 😀 I’ve had the 4-track EP “full version” for ages and the In Sides obvsiously… this is the most wholesome The Box experience. And now there are even more variations in The Pentaverate soundtrack which is based on the Box

It is truly baffling this just doesn't exist somewhere on streaming. Even all the singular parts are difficult to find on streaming services. I had this mp3 for many years, but as per your explanation is was apparently missing one of the parts, as it was only 28 minutes, but did have the vocal part after about 24 minutes.

In 1999 I didn't know that these were 4 different versions of the same track. I had an audio cassette where the tracks were recorded without pauses. I thought that this was one big form, like in academic music. Like a symphony, for example.

The 28+ minute 'full version' is also from the first US edition of the album on CD which had a bonus disc, comprised of the Times Fly EP and The Box version from other uploads as you say "claiming to be the full version", so anyone with the bonus disc would assume the version of The Box on it was the 'full version', not knowing it was actually the same as the CD single .. I had it for all these years and never realised until I read your description how it all fits together, but with that original double disc I can do what you've done by using Part 1 and Part 2 from the album, then mixing into the 28 minute version from around 4:15 when the edit of Part 2 finishes, thanks!

they did release the box in its entirety on a import cd i still have it was all yellow and had the full version of the box with the lyrics at the end it was hard to find in the 90s

Are you referring to The Box EP (cover is on screen starting at the 1:45 minute mark)? That one did not have the part 1 which was on In Sides. I bought that one off eBay several years back. I've not seen a release that has all parts together. Was there something released other than the EP?

Definitely familiar with Pt1/2 from In Sides, so kinda surprised to discover (~23 years later) there was more to this track. Granted, the connection seems a little loose, given "part three" (Pt2 from single) isn't too similar to Pt1/2 (which are clearly low-intensity/high-intensity versions of the same basic song).
