The reason why you can tell when someone wants to merge is because when a person turns their head to look they subconsiousely turn with it a little and move to the side of the lane they are looking at. That way you can know someone is turning seconds before they give any real indications of it

I was at a 90° angle going about 38 mph with my bumper and his bumper barely touching. I slid so hard that my truck went to each edge of the road 5 times during the recovery.

Just like Jimmy said. If one lane is open and the other is backed up with traffic, chances are someone wants to get into the open lane and might cut you off. Never speed next to stopped traffic when your lane is open.

Everytime i go to work at sams club there is a turn that has 2 lanes able to turn left at the light. I always go slow in the most right lane during the turn. Every time i make that turn i always have to go slower because they keep merging through the lanes or they make the turn and then almost immediately merge to the right and nearly always push me off the road.

8:54 I can usually tell by how they're driving but i also know to keep an eye on vans and business/utility trucks. Also luxury cars. I'm a seasonal UPS driver and the rest of the year I work as delivery for various eateries so I'm constantly on the road, so i see some shit. Being in the middle of nowhere both lowers and increases your risk of getting hit because there are fewer vehicles on the road, but those that are will just be all over the place having a joy ride because they're not expecting to see others out in the boondocks where the population is 70 people and 800 cows.

I honestly almost died yesterday. I was in the slow lane being happy going 60mph while the rest zoom past me when a 18 wheeler on the shoulder was like "imma get on the highway now" way ahead of me. So im was like "ok. Next lane over it is" Had my blinker on and NOONE let me over. By the time I reached the truck, he was halfway in my lane and I just had to cut ppl off. The guy i got behind hit his brakes for some reason almost causing me to rear end him. Once i got past the truck i went back into my lane and sped up to get past the idiots. Well, the guy who put his brakes on wasnt happy because he sped up and tried driving me off of the road. He got partially into my lane and then sped off. I got so damn pissed.
