Dude I lived outside the village limits of a town that made people keep their lawn so many inches, they couldn’t paint their house certain colors (not even weird color things, just like “there’s too many white houses on your block pick a new color”), couldn’t pick your own lawn ornaments or certain types of bushes, and you definitely couldn’t leave old things visible on your lawn. No, no HOA fees but village fines and 50% taxes for living there and paying for the local exempt school. Rich neighborhoods are awful, and the alcohol and drugs are usually flowing and the only thing law enforcement does is hide and cover it up after the fact. Seriously! I called once, while housesitting an apartment (house converted into 4 & guy wouldn’t answer for 4 days, pot gives me migraines and anxiety), cop told me while it’s definitely pot coming thru vents it’s not outside and he doesn’t have probably cause to knock on his door so he left! A**hole!

SA'ED AbulHawa sounds like it wasn’t on her property. I’m also guessing that she doesn’t live on a city street with public parking. If she is in a gated community with an HOA then the streets are community property. They can make their own rules... some examples are * street parking only on one side of street * street parking only between certain hours * limited number of days for street parking (like car must be moved with 48 hours) The residents could then complain to the guard house, or the property management company if they see someone breaking a “rule” (not a law). The property management company would then determine next steps based on HOA agreement... maybe a fine or car getting towed. Not saying I agree with the ridiculous neighbors, only pointing out how it could be possible.
