I absolutely love Magic Johnson. I met him at a 7-11 in East Lansing back in 1979. Had no idea who he was but we kinda both got to the counter at the same time and he was so gracious and told me to go ahead. I looked over and all I saw was this baby blue valor sweat suit. As I looked way up at him, he smiled, I smiled and said thank you. I went outside to my friends and when Magic came out my friend said, "Hey! Do you know who that is?!" That's when I learned it was Magic. He's such a good man and if I ever win the lottery, first thing I do is hire Magic's financial guy!😊 Loved this interview!!💕

I really love Magic. He is such a nice person. After the games, when he played, he would talk to us, (my son and sister) and he took out the time to take pictures with us. I always love when Magic is on - big old grin on my face, laughing along with him. Been a fan since his rookie year with the Lakers, and I remember watching that first championship game that he won almost single-handedly. Mag is the best spokesperson for basketball, ever. You can't help but like him. Full disclosre, I've been a rabid Lakers fan since 1972 when Jerry and Wilt won the championship. And Pat Riley, was on that team and so many more greats. That was the year that Elgin Baylor got hurt bad and only played in 15 games, and then retired. I was 16, all the way back when. Turned me into a lifelong Lakers fan.
