It's more shameful doing that in front of a Korean person herself, who only ever want to promote her show and gush abt her experience with BTS. And now Billboard twisted her words and is putting the blame on Ashley, when it was you who said that BTS is "dangerous" and that "you are lucky to come out of it alive". What's worse is that this isn't even the first time you made snide comments abt a different race. Your xenophobia is so deeply rooted, you don't even notice it's offensive. I'm happy for her because she was amazing and deserved to be recognized by V and RM. He could have kept his racism and misogyny, but I'm disgusted by him saying the group is as dangerous as COVID. It's also unnecessary to describe their supporters as "crazed" or "attacking" - would you say the same thing about football fans, Jimmy?
@bangtannan10503 жыл бұрын
True ARMY. Her reaction and hyperventilating telling the story is how we all are :)
@miladytrish99843 жыл бұрын
There's a lot more than just that "fever" joke here.. Jimmy also compared bts and covid as both dangerous and that ashley was luck to make it out alive, calling fans crazed, saying that fans attacks and more.(making bts' fans look like some sort of villains)... As a fan i am personally offended by this. Insulting both fans and artist. This wasn't even the first issue. You deserve to be called out.. Western shows should learn to respect all cultures not just Asians and be sensitive.

I grew up speaking French, but after switching to an English high school, I lost my ability to deal with 'fast talk' at all... I can read it fine... but as soon as they start talking at their 'not talking to an English speaker' rate, It may as well be ancient Greek.

Not this again with a white man comparing a deadly virus to a band that’s incredibly talented+supports philanthropic causes as “a joke”. The internal xenophobia and racism in the Usa never fails to mortify me.

This video is about : Actually he thought he could do some jokes but she turned to be an army...and she's so excited (cute) about the Instagram post...and Jimmy can't wait to drag but each attempt failed finally he uses the break to throw some shades. 😌

This is exactly what happens everytime. Random famous person makes some joke at BTS's expense, Armys try and defend them and in turn get called all sorts of colourful things like 'toxic', 'dangerous' and whatnot. The thing is, Kimmel's comments are not just an insult to BTS, but to the whole Asian community. Such a poor choice of words.

@@SpringDaysToCome it's not endorsing asian hate. Saying that bts is like a fever just means that they're strong enough to make an impact over someone. It's a metaphor.
