It's fun seeing them speak a mix of three languages, and interestingly Jimmy learned Japanese by watching Anime and speaking to Japanese friends, while Rie learned Korean by watching Kdramas, listening to Kpop, and speaking to Korean people. They both learned each other's languages essentially from watching TV 😅

I dunno if u know this but when japanese controlled korea lots of koreans were sent to live in japan and generations later there is a big korean community in japan. Japanese were the equivalent of nazi germany back in the day.

Growing up in America with a mom that spoke broken English and very elementary Korean sounded a lot like this. I spoke only English and my mom spoke 90% Korean, so a casual conversation was hearing English in response to a Korean question or vice versa

I hope you do! How similar would you say the two languages are? I've already learnt Spanish and Portuguese, but ever since learning Portuguese it is kind of hard for me to turn on the Spanish because of how similar they are, but when I was studying German as well I never got it confused because the languages are sufficiently different. I would love to learn Japanese and Korean at some point :), but am curious if this is also a problem

@@alastairhewitt380 hi there im currently learning both too and i would say tht they’re similar in some ways. Prob not to the extend of Portuguese and spanish or england english and the USA, but some words are similar. But apart from tht their grammar and alphabets are different. However becoz korean and japanese are derived from traditional chinese so they do learn some Chinese characters

Now, some words are similar or different by a letter just like Portuguese and Spanish (and I’ll add French since it’s my native language and it made it easier for me to pick up Spanish at a decent level + to learn some Portuguese when I visited Portugal) but they still seem quite different in my opinion

I came to watch this video after seeing your short where people accused you of being creepy for calling her cute.
