$6 VS $60 Buffet on a Korean Island. Which One Is Better?

In this video, I travelled to Jeju, Korea, to try two of their buffet restaurants. I tried a Korean style buffet that only costs $6, and also a $60 buffet at a luxurious resort hotel that has international foods including Korean food. Which one is the true winner here? I'll give you my honest reaction in the video!

Really enjoyed hearing about your time in the military. It's very real that you were depressed, but it's rare that people are honest and admit when they struggled. From the US, I'm aware that all males in Korea have to join the military for a service period, but even in kdramas, they kind of gloss over that stuff a lot so it's still some abstract concept.

maybe not comparable but a friend of mine did the mandatory turkish military and said it was one of his worst experience in his life, so i think it generally goes like that except if you are in a « good » base or you like military

I can definitely see the appeal of all the Americanized food in the fancy buffet. I'm an American who's half Chinese and half Mexican, so I am a foodie at heart twice over. When I'm in Asia for 3 weeks or more though, I start missing American food so bad! When I was in Japan, I asked an Australian couple, "Don't you guys wish you had like, a bucket of soda?" They enthusiastically agreed 😂

I think opinion on being in Korean military depends on people. My husband went to Korean military 26 years ago and he said he enjoyed it. He said it was like break for him since military fed him and he played sports during free time. I think since he lived in the country he was used to waking up early and working hard. His opinion on military for him wasn’t that bad he made great friends. I mean there were annoying things with higher ranked people but he said its just how it is.

I think it really depends on what you are looking for. Myself, as a visitor to South Korea, I want to eat korean food, and not western food, or chinese, or japanese food. As a south korean like Jimmy, this looks different of course. Personally, the best meals I had in South Korea were set menues, with a lot of tasty banchan. Other from that, my favorite dishes are Samgyetang, Mandu and Panjeon.

While both places looked good. I like the cheaper place a bit better. It looks like a lot of locals would go there. The dishes looked great too. I'm not saying the more expensive place is bad. But it looks good for tourist and if you're staying nearby.

where i live we have a mongolian buffet for 12.50€ until 13 a clock and from 17 to 20 for 17.50€ and in the afternoon the buffet is epaned with live cooking and the price i crazyx cheap for all the meat options, and if yxou come on your birthday with 3 other people you are getting the buffet for free drinks are never included

That 6$ buffet looked goooood I would rather take the cheaper route because cheap buffets take pride in there cooking since they not over pricing food, the better the cooking is plus the cheap price will keep customers coming back.
