In this video, I went to Tokyo, Japan, to try two of their ramen restaurants; one that sells a $6 ramen, which is about average price for a bowl of ramen in Japan, and the other restaurant that sells the most expensive bowl of ramen in Tokyo that costs $100. Yes! It's hard to recommend a ramen that costs $100, but if you are visiting and if you are okay with giving yourself something extra nice, I think it's totally worth it.

Due to growing up in a Japanese community, I was shocked when my Korean friends told me that most ramyeon served in Korea was instant-even in restaurants. This must be why Korean instant ramyeon is MILES above Japanese instant ramen. Thanks for always treating your guests kindly. Hi, Michan!

But are you comparing shin ramen or korean premium brands to japanese maruchan? Japanese also have cheap and premium instant ramen, compare apples to apples

@@jamesj5612 The thing is, Shin or Buldak ramyeon isn't "premium," especially when we're considering price. Btw, if you ever visit Japan, I'd consider going to the CupNoodles museum in Yokohama. It's awesome!

I'm so jealous of affordable and QUALITY ramyeon in Japan and Korea. Here in the US it's gotten too bougie, like $15+ for some basic noodles and terrible toppings. That being said, I had a bougie Australian wagyu ramyeon in Toronto once and it blew my mind 😆

Haha I'm not sure about ramyeon in Korea. It's just instant noodle that you can make at home, but yeah Japan has amazing ramen! I remember having quite decent ramen in California as well, but they were about $15 back then 🥹

2:20 Anime and manga go through phases that generally last about 5 to 6 years. Love Hina started the harem anime craze that lasted until Ichigo 100% basically killed everything off. This was arguably one of the longest phases of anime. Then, Sword Art Online started the isekai craze and began seeing a decline in the late 2010s due to oversaturation. My Hero Academia is tied to body horror stuff and those superheroics led to stuff like Demon Slayer and Jujutsu Kaisen taking off. The 2020s is expected to see a resurgence of horror and death games thanks to the success of Squid Game. Even the Kaiji movies got a sequel after like 10 years. Quick someone call Tatsuya Fujiwara. He needs to hold onto his record for death game participation!

There's a ramen shop down the street from where I live in Oslo. Average bowl costs 240-ish Norwegian Kroner, which is about 23$ or 3500 yen. Massive price differences. :(
