Jim, another fantastic video as usual! I wanted to ask a question off-topic (and forgive me if you have covered this in a video that I've missed). In "Sky AI" - Is it possible to add your own skies from photos? P.S. My wife and I are going to see Spyro Gyro at the Paramount next week - and I'm hoping to do some Cityscapes while in Austin. Now that we live near Marble Falls, Austin is "the Big City" and we don't get back that often. Thank you for all you do!

Hi there and thanks much. I use Neo exclusively now, but AI is still good and admittedly there are some tools missing from Neo. But, they are coming, along with new ones that AI will not have. I find Neo is quicker and more stable than AI was. So I am "all in" on Neo and haven't needed anything from AI since Neo launched. Maybe download a trial, see how it works for you? thanks

As usual, another awesome image post-processing tutorial. For me, Luminar Neo is a plugins, a very powerful one that I use on almost all my edits (Except for panoramas because of Neo restriction on image width). As a result, I lose two things: camera profile (which my camera system is not supported by Skylum anyways) and the kelvin granularity for white balance (which I set in my main program). I didn't find the optics correction that great either. Nonetheless, I concur that all other development tools you demonstrated are awesome (despite I lose the AI piece). Thank you so much for sharing.

Very nicely done. I agree … master Curves and you got virtually everything in the photo editing bag. A question: is the persistent brightness haloing around the palm trees an artifact (seen on my iPhone 12Pro screen), or something else?

Jim, a very enjoyable video and instructive, as well. I'm also waiting for J Key and Histogram and hope that REAL layers will be coming at some point. HOWEVER, I note that (even though you're not using Sky Replace, etc.), in the developed image there is a faint bright halo effect around the palm fronds that wasn't there on the initial image. ??Your comments??

Hi Bill and thanks and yep I noticed that too. It usually comes from pushing contrast a little too far. I could go back into Supercontrast and try and balance that out a little more, which usually does the trick for me. Thanks.

If you have a raw file, you should have some options in the drop down, and it can vary by manufacturer. You can also Google search for specific ones by brand. Try Tony Kuyper's website (mentioned by another viewer, thankfully) that has quite a few.

You have to send it over the right way to ensure it is a raw file. In LR you can click File>Export with Preset and I believe there is an option there for "open source files". I will be watching them more often because when I bought the new plug ins for Noe I also renewed my membership X which last year I could watch the videos to learn the program but now after I bought the plug in and renewed my membership they want more money for the videos. I already paid for plug in that was supposed to come with Neo when it launched and now they want more money for a membership with videos. In my opinion it’s a good program but they nickel and dime you to death. You live and learn I guess. I just hate I wasted my money on their software.
