Even though this is 8 years old video it helped me remember how to take out my air filter ( K & S ) re useable filter and clean it and re-oil it, I installed it in my 2006 Accord EX 2.4 w/ GPS on ( 4-23-2012) and now I 'm finally realized it's been 12 years since I replaced it with a K& S filter DOH! so at least I'm now doing the cleaning and re-oiling I just wish I remembered to do it again in the years to come, that's where my Amazon Echo can come in to remind me a few years to do it again in 4 years so at least.

Hello Jim: Thank you for the video I have a 2006 Honda Accord 4 cylinder and tried to replace the air filter. The air hose is very stiff and made it difficult to remove/loosen the top of the air filter box. The job took much longer to perform than your video but I expected that. I note that on occasion, the air hose/attachments may be damaged if parts connected to the air hose are not removed prior to changing the air filter. Thank you again for the video it was very helpful!

hi i tried this today and accidentlly craked the lower front lip of the box when i put it back on top of the filter is it problematic? thanks for the feedback

also i was only able to screw one bolt only is that okay?

If the screws are too tight, can I use a bit of WD40 to loosen them a little?

Yes that will help.

You won’t really be able to spray anything on the threads. If bolts are tight, you will need to use a ratchet.

tHANKS FOR YOUR VIDEO. i JUST FAILED SMOG AND THEY SAID IT'S MISSING A HOSE ON THE FRONT NIPPLE OR THE AIR HOSE. THERES AIR COMING OUT. i TOLD THE SMOG GUY THAT THIS IS NORMAL. HE DISAGREED WITH ME. i EVEN EXPLAINED THERE NO WIRE OR EVEDINCE OF A MISSING HOSE. i SEEN ANOTHER VIDEO WITH A SENSOR ON THAT PART HE MENTIONED BUT i DONT SEE IT EITHER ON YOUR VIDEO AND THAT VALIDATES i WAS CORRECT. iS IT A V6 THAT HAS A SENSOR IN THAT HOLE. iT'S THE ONLY HOLE UP FRONT . tHANKS

I can add that this is a bitch to remove. It’s wedged in so tight, it makes it almost impossible To remove the top cover.
