For those of us looking for the torque specs, here they are: - Front Bracket mount bolts: 80 lb-ft (2013-2016) (These are the 17 mm bolts going to the wheel hub) - Front Caliper bolts: 37 lb-ft (2013 - 2015 Nissin type (14mm bolts)) - Rear Bracket mount bolts: 80 lb-ft (2013-2016) - Rear Caliper bolts: 17 lb-ft

@@bertabuddz4756 oh he was really thorough. I'd just suggest not to clean the wheel hub by hand as it takes really long to get it done. You can get the metal circular brush from autozone or home depot and attach it to your drill.

I use the impact screwdriver all the time and never have trouble with it getting the screws out of the rotors. The torque specs are "Good and tight, plus or minus a jerk". After removing any rust, I still go back and spray break cleaner on the treated areas to remove any rust dust left on the reworked area. It is a great practice.

This is the detailed video I've been looking for. The last brake job I did was way back in 82 on my 70 Ford Fairlane with drum brakes. I wore those brakes out so bad the drums fell apart into pieces when I took them off. I wasn't sure if I would be able to replace the rotors and pads on my 2012 Honda but this video made it Easy Peasy Lemon Squeezy. Thank you verry much !!!

Thanks for the video Jim. I think this is the second or third time I’ve used this specific video and it saves me ~$300 every time. It’s always great to be able to learn from a seasoned pro, especially the extra tips (stuck rotor screws) that would otherwise be skipped on a basic step by step.

A really good video. Most everything covered and explained very well in easy to understand terms. I wish you had included a mention of brake fluid issues just to reassure those watching. Also, I would have likes more information on the silicon brake grease and a mention of anti-seize grease on the bolts. If nothing else just mentioning fluid and anti-seize eliminates uncertainty. I like the Amazon store feature. The video would have been improved by reference to it for the piston spreader tool (I bought one), the brake grease (I bought a can), and the impact driver (I bought one). Not criticizing, just suggesting. Great job! I subscribed and look forward to other vids.

Thanks for the simple and informative video you made. I've got two questions if you find the time. 1. I'm hoping this video would apply to a 2013 Honda Civic as well. According to other videos I've watched, it looks likely that it would? 2. You mentioned that if we needed torque specs that we could contact you for them. Either way, excellent video!! Thanks to real mechanics like yourself who help handy, yet amateurs like myself be able to do more things themselves, not only to save money but to feel a personal sense of accomplishment. Not sure about opening reservoir, but you may want to check the level of the reservoir.. If full, it will likely overflow when you push back piston... I use a turkey blaster to remove excess... Honda recommends replacing/flushing brake fluid every 3 years... Is not hard to do but alot easier with a second person
