I use Jim's teachings and it works! I am 63 years old just started golf and was improving. This method has been the best thing I have seen., all the others are well intended but with incredible amounts of do this don't do that for every part of the swing it's overwhelming. This method is simple and to the point and it works.

My late father, who was my golf instructor for 40 years, always said, “When you hit it good, you must have done something right.” Jim, I enjoy all of your videos and suggestions. Stillness has brought my game back!! Thank you!!

Jim your method breeds perfect contact with each swing. When I was 50 I played big chunky GI irons and all I managed to do was hit the ball higher and farther off line. Using your system I am a 69 year old that uses bladed irons and play to a 11 index. Reason???? I strike the ball in the center of the club face with each swing.

Joseph, a few months ago I saw a Jim video for the 1st time. It caught my attention. I was using new game improvement irons with a lot of bounce and realized I had made a mistake. I bought another new set of irons, cavity back blades (Maltby KE4 Tour model), got real and put in senior shafts (age 66) and am putting the ball mark where it belongs a lot more often (not even close). I too am seeing improvement for the 1st time in a while.

Every now and then out of the blue I “get it”, but then lose it the next day. Once on a driving range I figured something out where I was flushing my irons 20-30 yds longer; woods weren’t working though. Anyway, this resonates with me.

I hit a 9 iron last week 170 yards I could not believe it and now average 130 to 150 with a 9 iron and I've been trying to find out how I hit the 170 as Jim is describing here. Need to remind myself constantly to not worry about it and just stay still.

just enjoy yourself, 130 - 150 metres is better than than the PGA average . You ask yourself how you hit the 170 metre shot ?, gale force wind at back, downhill, hit sprinkler head 1 or combination of all may have helped

It was yards not meters sorry. But yes so far I'm content but still working on it everyday. Could not hit a 9iron 120 consistently and would mostly average around 80 to 90 meters so ofcourse I'm happy. Problem is I club up and there is very little distance gained so have to move up slower.

Jim, is the “Channel Lock” method of hitting a golf ball similar to the method you teach? It seems to put you in a closed position and promotes a shallow swing, however, it doesn’t address stillness or weight on the lead foot.

Raymond Smith nothing like it other than being closed. Channel lock is very limiting in the power you can create and the shots you can play. They limit ball position to your right foot to try to keep you closed in the swing. In my estimation and compared to what I teach channel lock is a unicycle, my system is an electric motocross bike.

Jim Venetos Golf Academy I agree with that assessment of the “Chanel lock” swing. It looks like very odd way to hit the ball. One would look like an idiot on the course because it is so unconventional and it probably requires go timing.

I love the stillness, and fight the urge to be less than still. That being said, I cannot believe how far I can pollatzz my driver by being still. I guess teaching stillness is missed by 100 million golf instructors; now and dead. I cannot believe this ongoing conspiracy of never seeing the lean side of 100.
