Jin may joke around a lot but he does such a good job being the oldest one. He literally collects the members lol. It's also amazing how he allows the youngest ones to have as much fun with him as they want and doesn't establish his authority as the oldest. In Korean culture, like most Asian cultures, there's a hierarchy that's set by age. But you'll never initially notice that Jin is the oldest one because he never forces the members to respect him (he may joke about it). The maknae line are literal brats tho 🤣🤣 But yes, Jin doesn't like being called "mom". Everyone called him the "mom of the group" since rookie days and he's made it very clear that he doesn't like being called that.

I love that fact that he lets them be themselves and not really enforce his authority, but I feel like he may not enforce it because of how they treat Jin also. They really respect each other so much so that could play apart in Jin not using his authority. This is just how I see it I could be wrong.

@@yolandafortson5825 , you are correct in a sense that he does not “lord over them” as the eldest, that’s why they get along with him so well. He is playful and jokes around but he is also mature when needed. They have so much respect for him especially in serious matters. They often tease him, but it does not mean that they disrespect him as others see it. Coming from Asian perspective, normally we only tease people who are very close to us & can take those teasing moments. That means BTS bond is very good and they have already adjusted to each other’s personality. 💜💜💜
