Back here for Super Tuna supremacy. Two things: first, he wrote this song during a fishing trip, he included a shooting for a magazine for the company, because he wanted to go fishing and have no time. He framed everything on the company expenses. That's my JinHit Entertainment. Second, this was a funny birthday present for ARMY for his birthday and ended up as a viral dance challenge because we love it!. So when he got back from the military he recorded (that same night) a new version with a second verse. Super Tuna was actually in a lot of ARMY spotify wrapped. It gives you happiness.

The Astronaut was a “see-you-later” song he released just before he enlisted. It was a very uncertain and tough time for everyone since he was the first to enlist. Coming to the video, I’m not sure if you had a chance to learn about how BTS came to be, but ever since the beginning, Jin had felt a little lost and it took him time to find his place, and more so his peace and confidence within BTS, that without him or any one of the others, there’s no BTS. It’s always the seven. This has been portrayed in the music video through him donning the role of an alien who somehow landed on Earth and could not go back to where he came from. When he sees a flicker of hope, a chance that he can go back, it’s something he thought would make him happy. But during his time on Earth, he befriends the little girl who represents ARMY. Being with her changes him as a person and he wants to make sure that she would be okay when he is not there. He’s all set to return but just as that moment arrives, he realises that there’s no place else he’d rather be than with ARMY. That “smoothest ever let’s get the fuck out of here” is actually him realizing this and rushing back home 💜 the song encapsulates Jin’s journey with himself as a person, as a musician, as an artist, and through it all, with ARMY :) Like so many others also mentioned, please do check out the live performance of Astronaut in Argentina (Coldplay’s concert). I think for Jin (and other members) “space” often refers to trouble or alienation in some way. BUT within that space, the moon, the stars, the light in the darkness, the companion in troubles is ARMY. Here imo going to space is going to the military, afraid he may never see us again, but then we, the purple lights, surround and envelop him. Purple is always ARMY. Thats why the little girls bike is purple.

I’d love to see you react to J-Hope’s solo performance at Lollapalooza! It’s a great way to experience most (but not all!) the songs from his first two albums. If you watch Astronaut closely, you'll notice that the boys are all represented in some way in his room, Yoongi's guitar case, RM's stack of books, Jimin's flower bowl from Serendipity...they are his home and family and the little girl is ARMY.❤

I’m going by memory here and I’m 50, so take with a grain of salt. I this I read or heard an interview where he said entering the music industry as someone who had no background in singing or dancing, he felt like didn’t belong, like an alien. When he debuted with BTS, he felt like he finally found his place. BTS is family and ARMY. He sees ARMY as Earth, he’s the moon. Separate, but symbiotic.

Check out the live version of The Astronaut with Coldplay. Chris Martin does a really nice introduction for Jin. Jin traveled something like 36 hours to perform that one song during Coldplay's tour in Argentina. They've formed such a nice friendship. Side note, Chris Martin played the news reporter on the tv in the astronaut video.

There is a recurring space theme in Jin's songs. He has an older solo song called "Moon", his explanation for this song was “This song is about how the moon views the earth. I am the Moon, and ARMY is my Earth." The Astronaut was written as a goodbye song before he left to do his military service and "Running wild" is the title track of the album that he released as soon as he returned. So I'm sure that's the connection and the reason behind the theme.

There are TikTok videos of employees of tuna factories in South Korea dancing to Super Tuna. It was such a fun time when Jin released the song for fans. It never fails to make everyone laugh!

You are spot on that there is always a message to crack and Easter Eggs to find. You noticed the crossword puzzle. He also has ARMY written in Braille on his neck in The Astronaut, he has his guitar from Chris in the room and the Coldplay posters on the wall. As someone already said, he also references his song Moon in which he says ARMY is his earth. The purple nebula that he stands in resembles the view for him of the purple ocean that is ARMY at a concert. His performance in Argentina brought ARMY to tears. Coldplay livestreamed the concert in theatres so ARMY could watch around the world. Jin also did 2 travel log Bangtan bombs about his trip that you might want to check out along with the performance video. Super Tuna is pure Jin, he lives for making ARMY and his members smile. We are so spoiled as a fandom! To feel Christmas - I can recommend you something... Taehyung released two new songs.. One is a jazz song called 'Winter Ahead (feat. Park Hyo Shin)'... The Astronaut was a gift to us at a very difficult time. He was the first one to leave us for military and it was the dread of not having him with us for next 18 mnths plus all the uncertainties of post-return time frame. The Astronaut was a reassurance that he will always come back to us. That even if he was drifting away aimlessly before, he found home with us and he will be back home soon. Running Wild is him promising that he will stay along our side till the very end. Even if the world around us crumbles, our home will stay intact & safe, as long as we our together. But before all this was a song called Moon. He says he is our moon and we are his earth. That his existence is purely tied in to ours. Given how ethereally beautiful Seokjin is (both inside and out) I think it makes sense that every time we need a metaphor to describe his presence in our lives it has to be outer worldly. Something beyond our universe.

There's a whole fictional storyline called Bangtan (BTS) Universe which I'm not gonna go into because it's super complicated and a whole other level on its own. He's taken in by a human family while his ship is being repaired, but in the end, he decides to stay on earth with them. He chooses his adoptive family over returning to his home planet. The whole story is a symbol for Jin's military enlistment and his commitment to always return to his fans. The little girl in the video represents ARMY. On Jin’s Birthday just before he went into the military, during his live stream he gifted ARMY Super Tuna. There was a different video. He told ARMY it was just for us and not to do dance challenges and make it go viral. Well us ARMY did just the opposite. The next day Tik Tok was flooded with dance challenges. It went viral and surpassed Baby Shark. The day after Jin came out of the military he performed Super Tuna live and added a second verse to it and ARMY went nuts. He gave us a brand new video. You mentioned Super Tuna sounded like a video game. Jin is a gamer. He actually goes live and streams himself playing games. 😉 Another level is about playing video games. Challenge yourself to not give up and keep pushing forward until you get to another level. Jin is fascinated with space. He has a song called Moon. I love how the vibes between The Astronaut and Running Wild feels like different stages of his life/persona/mind (and also his growth). While in The Astronaut he feels more out of place, like if he was still unsure about himself and his role in BTS (as he said to be so many times), in Running Wild he seems way more confident, almost saying "fuck it, i'll be happy no matter what and i'll enjoy my time here, even if everything is crashing down". He also said the Happy album was about this feeling, about him wanting to be more happy and appreciating this phase of his life and all the things that makes him happy. 💜 I can't help but feel happy and proud of him too btw, the space theme is in another of his songs: Moon (which is his solo on BTS MOTS:7 album and was also dedicated to army)

11:28 I think the fascination with space all started with their song Mikrokosmos, which talks about the unique light within all of us that combines together to create an entire universe. After that, the group released multiple space themed tracks, such as My Universe with Coldplay, and Jin's solo track, Moon. When BTS uses this theme, it's usually a song for their fans to show that we're all in this together. It takes more than one star to create a galaxy. It's just their unique way of showing their love for ARMY. The Astronaut also falls along these lines as a fan song that Jin intended to leave for us before he enlisted in the military.

hello :D I wanted to explain something here! so jin has another song called moon, which is about army and his love for us! in it he explains how he's "the moon" to us and we're "the earth", and that way he orbits us with love ! so since the astronaut is about his goodbye before going to the military, he's leaving us army, aka the earth, for a little journey and coming back which at the end of the music video you can see how he returns to the girl with the bike, which also represents army in the mv and how he's been with us and left for a little while !

also, you explained super tuna perfectly well 😭 he caught a tuna and since he loves fishing he wanted to write a song about it and its actually playing around, he released it on his birthday in 2021 and told army to keep it within the fandom but it got viral, and when he went back from the military, a day later was actually bts's anniversary, and he did a live show and wrote an extended version of the song for the fans 😭 and then two months later he actually re recorded it and released the extended version with an mv and its just so hilarious how he's very embarrassed about it but army love it so much to the point where even jimmy Fallon made jin teach him the dance on his show and jin looked soooooo done the whole story of super tuna is just a comedy show and we all love it so much 😭

Super Tuna was a gift to the fans to make us Happy, and it took off - His great joy in life brought a smile to people's faces, and this song achieved it in spades - Happy was the best title for his first album in that is what he is always trying to make his fans - Happy - and Super Tuna make the world happy when it was first released - Jin has always been senses of humour - his RunJin shows have left us giggling.

Thank you for this reaction, love hearing your perspective on different songs. For The Astronaut, there's definitely a correlation with Running Wild. Nothing is a coincidence with this group. From their music videos to their lyrics to even their concepts, a lot of bts's music connects throughout the years, whether it's through their music as a group or as some of their solo work. For example, Jimin's Set Me Free pt 2 is connected to Yoongi's song Set Me Free ( only by title name and message). And as a group, their 2018 song I'm Fine is connected to their 2016 song Save Me. Finding easter eggs in their songs and music videos is so fun because it shows their creativity. Super Tuna wasn't meant to go as viral as it did but it was just too good. If you start learning about the member's personalities, you'll find out just how funny Jin is. To many people outside of army, Super Tuna must've been a complete shock watching it but as an army, that song was so Jin. The mix of his funny side with his love for fishing and his incredible vocals is amazing.

The thing is that Jin is the ARMYs moon. He made a song called Moon where he describes his love for the fans as ARMYs is his earth and he is the moon revolving around us, but can never touch us. Jin always felt that he is lacking( which is crazy considering how talented he is). In this video, you can consider the little girl representing ARMY, who at first he was awkward around, then he got to know her and loved her. But he had to go away for a bit( enlist in Army), so he does go, but he comes back to us in the end. There are a lot of Easter eggs in this video. Chris Martin is the newscaster on the TV in the video, and if you look very closely, on Jin’s neck is the word ARMY written in braille, to name a few. I would recommend you check out the live version of the astronaut it is beautiful, and Jin does an amazing job, as well as you get to see the true love between Jin and Coldplay. Yea he made the original Super Tuna for fun on his birthday NOT expecting it to go anywhere and in the process ACCIDENTALLY started a viral dance challenge. When he came back from the military he said I was hoping this song would just go away but Army loved it so him and the producer wrote a second verse to it.😂

there's two things in tne MV that people can't notice that i'd like to point out cuz they have a deep meaning which is the first thing if you notice at the beginning of the MV around the space ship they were little trees on the ground, and if you don't know it take around 10 years for a tree to become a full long blossomed one, as we can see after jin long journey on earth while he stayed here with the girl until the space ship got fixed, when he went back to the ship you can see the tress have grown around it, which means jin stayed around 10 years on earth, and the fun thing is the year this song was relaesed it was BTS 10 years anniversary since they debuted so that was a huge deep meaning about it. And the second thing is when jin decided to leave the space ship and go back home to the girl which represent ARMY. we can see he was stooping cars on the road to take him home, and we sow two cars passed by but they didn't stop for him but finally the 3rd one stoped for him, which represent that Jin will be coming back from the military after 2 years of serving, that what the 2 cars meant, and even the car that picked him up is a car similar to a one we've seen in BTS Mv before that takes all the memebers toghther to go home.

One of the things that you need to know about Jin, is that he is all about happiness, he has said it himself "seeing people happy, makes me happy, so I make them laugh and act like a goof because it makes them happy, therefore, i'm happy" his whole life philosophy might come across as foolish? to some people, but he is for real one of the most encouraging members, there is a famous quote he said in In the soop (one of their variety shows) when V is trying to flip a pancake and the other members are trying to stop it in case he "flings it" so they ask what if he flings it? and Jin as fast as lighting replies: Then he flings it. One of the things we ARMY respect the most about him is that he pushes the others and us to try our best, and to whatever we do, we should give it our best, while enjoying it. Jin is also kind of never let them know your next move, so he always keeps us on our toes.

Gameboyy being a fellow "palltak palltak" enthusiast brings me deep joy lmao. Super Tuna is such a fun time and it's not meant to be taken seriously but you're right, Jin didn't skimp on the vocals regardless and it's actually a legit nice song to listen to. It was supposed to be a funny little gift to ARMY on Jin's birthday (and it's sort of his lucky fishing song that he happened to catch a tuna with after playing it on the boat). Jin begged us to just keep it simple and enjoy it privately so it could stay between him and us but we loved it too much and kept sharing it with friends and family until it went viral. Dude wanted his silly fish song to stay low key but it wound up charting at #1, blocking Taylor Swift when she'd put out her album. I don't think the Swifties ever quite forgave us for that since it's bad enough to miss #1, but it's worse to miss because of a tuna song lol. It's all a fun time though. I can't believe he deleted the original version of the song that was only the 1st verse. There were 100M streams on it on Spotify. There's a music video for that one too still on KZbin though. You could see the original one we first saw. The "palltak palltak" part in the video was my fave thing.

Wait wait, I should've said this before - I know one you haven't heard that is one of the deep cuts. BTS did a cover of Seo Taiji's "Come Back Home" and it is honestly one of my favorite BTS songs. Now there's an MV but it's for a soundtrack, I wouldn't suggest that one. You wanna look for the "BTS - Come Back Home (remake) live at 4th Muster 2018 [ENG SUB] [Full HD]" from the channel Enjoy BTS More.
