Their song Home Back was written after Russia initially invaded Donetsk Ukrainian back in 2014. That forced Tatiana, Eugene and Roman to move to Kiev where vlad was already living there. The dissidents in the music playing drives home a feeling of anxiety and actually feeling of being dirty cap that off with Tatiana's lyrics that were written from a child's perspective of a war zone. The omv really helps drive the overall feeling of the song.

Some wise reactor once said about Jinjer's music (and about complex music overall): this kind of music sometimes demands from you some efforts to get it and handle it. But it worthwhile because it gives you big reward once you handle it. This reward is bigger than reward from "easy" music usually.

The technical ability in this band, including Tatiana of course, is absolutely top shelf, and her ability to put lyrics and melodies over such complex music (she puts the lyrics over completed songs) is amazing! Awesome reaction as always, I love seeing people fall in love with this band just like I did years ago!

Great reaction as always. I absolutely love Jinjer, so much so that they are in my personal top 10 favorite metal bands of all time, and I've been listening to Metal for over 40 years. I also love progressive/complex metal music, another one of my all time favorite bands is Queensryche, I remember listening to them for the first time and absolutely loving them right away, just like Jinjer. Funny thing is I personally do not like harsh/growling vocals, but Tatiana is something special. I'm not a musician, but my brother is, (he's a drummer for over 50+ years) and I took him to see Jinjer this past December and he was just in awe, he said that they are one of the tightest bands he has ever heard, and their musicianship is phenomenal, and I totally agree. Keep up the great reactions, looking forward to more Jinjer, and as always, stay Metal. 🤘🤘🤘🤘🎶🎶🎶

Vlad is awsome, he did most of the composition in their last album. I saw him pass in front of me in a festival last year, I wish I had said hello to him, but I was sitting with food and beer in hand ^^ On June 10th they have another concert that I will go to, can't wait!

I love the passion that Jinjer puts into their music. Tatiana is such an incredible front woman that I think she could have succeeded in any type of music that she put her talents into. She chose the more difficult path of metal which doesn't have the mass commercial mas appeal that Pop has. I am glad she went metal because together they are creating masterpieces.

I'm from the early 60's and a musician and I totally agree with you > the longer you are willing to deal with Jinjer the more you will realize that this band is absolutely phenomenal!!!!!!!!!!! For many Jinjer is musically too complex, which I understand, sometimes also for me :-) but it is absolutely worth allowing Jinjer in the same respect..............! By the way, for me Jinjer is no metal band, Jinjer is so much, much more then a metal band. many thanx for your awesome reaction and maybe you can try if you can enable a better sound on youtube. warm greetings from germany and till next time

I think it's funny that it's hard to keep a stream of thought after hearing something complex. Your brain is going to a hundred different places. Awesome reaction, and always remember that Napalm and Jinjer officials won't get hit. They love reactors. It's some of the live stuff where you might get the take down, but that's the venue.

Thank you for that reaction. I have to admit that I'm one of the confused, but your observations helped clarify things a bit. I haven't paid much attention to any kind of rock music for 50 years (deaths of Joplin and Hendrix so close together just destroyed me and I quit listening). Just got back into listening, first through Disturbed, and, mainly, through Nightwish. Going to a Disturbed concert this summer that also features Jinjer and I'd like to be able to appreciate what they are doing, so I will be following all of your Jinjer reactions closely. Just don't forget about Nightwish, please.

I guess (as this IS on KZbin) someone has told you that Napalm don't get arsey about people reviwing their acts' videos. Mediator is a song I admire rather than love, it's a good showcase for their virtuosity and genre bending

Ok, you are the master because you found the second rabbit hole after Nightwish - Jinjer 🤣🤣🤣 Kind of like me in 1991, discovering Sepultura, Slayer, Suffocation, Immolation & Napalm Death at the same time, in 1 Year of my life. 😅😅😅😅😅 btw. I recommend you with all my heart - Opeth - if you like interesting and deep music (my favorite band).

I recommend to anyone on the fence after listening to this reaction: Go watch the original video. This reaction video introduced a weird, hollow echo to the music which made it *much* less enjoyable. Don’t get me wrong - this was a very fine reaction, with some very good points presented. But the audio of the band’s performance was significantly degraded.
