Oh it's on Facebook! I'd tried to find it on YT and couldn't haha. Could you break out the bit about them discussing the belies/blaze controversy? Being a former member of team belies (so to speak) it pains me to see many still making that mistake.

Fans and journalists in metal seem to think Jinjer and Spiritbox need to be compared because they both have women singers. Are they similar bands? Barely. It would be like comparing Rush to Metallica because they both had male singers and were influenced by the same music. I love both bands for entirely different reasons. I have zero playlists with both bands on them because they don't fit together. But would I pay to see them on tour together? Hell yes.

Interesting comparison. You're right that Jinjer hardly sounds like Spiritbox. But they're my current two favorite bands, and for much the same reasons. Great proggy band with heavy riffs, check. Tons of melody, check. Awesome singer who does screams and growls just as well as they do clean vocals, check. Really beautiful world-class clean voice, check. Killer live energy, check. Rush and Metallica, now that's a really interesting comparison. You're right, never on the same playlist. I've seen both bands many times, including from very close (first or second row), bought all their albums. They couldn't be more different though. Maybe it's that Rush started in the 70s, Metallica in the 80s. Or that Rush are mellow Canadians, Metallica aggro Californians. At this point I have all the respect in the world for Rush. Quite a bit less so for Metallica. Their personalities got in the way. They let the stardom go to their heads. Rush never did. Just my opinion. Rock on!

The gender of the lead singer is the least interesting thing of both bands. Obviously both have female vocalists that scream and sing, but that’s about it. Totally different, both are amazing in their own way.

They are two totally different bands and I love that. Despite different styles both go hard! And both females are monsters in metal.

Oceans of Slumber eh? You know I'm gonna take a recommendation from Tati! I love how she offers a bite of her snack to the cameraman and interviewer. She's so off the cuff.

I found out about Spiritbox because of Jinjer. I remember he name dropped them once in some interview some time ago and I looked them up. Been hooked on both bands ever since. Despite both bands sounding very different both blew me away first listen. Vocals style are different but dam Tati and Courtney are at the top of the list for best clean and harsh vocals. They're monsters and best in the scene right now.

Would be an awesome world tour for 2025(America included and my state MN). Jinjer as the headliner with meshuggah and spiritbox as openers

I first listend Meshuggah in 2021, found them technically interesting but boring. After having had worked me in as preparation for their live performance, I'd say that they are one of the most impressive acts I have ever heard or seen.

Eugene did mention The Agonist briefly. Seems as if he was naming them as one of the few female fronted bands he liked.

Jinjer toured with Arch Enemy. Tati & Alissa are friends they posted on instagram in December at a holiday event, & before that when the war started Alissa visted Tati in Cali. Tatiana said she considers Vicky Psarakis a friend who no longer is The Agonist singer she has another band called the Sicksense.
