Wall of Jinjer 🤣 luv it! You want the scary version? You won't find a flaw - they're that impressive. There are a few Jinjer songs that I like less, but 95% of them are straight up bangers, and the more you hear the more you realize just how unique they are. Love watching you realize that reality. Keep on keepin' on m'lady, I love having a front row seat! 🤘

We're blessed to have this band, we need to enjoy them at their prime while we can! Their show yesterday at Cercoux, France was just perfect. The closing act of the night at a small festival in the middle of nowhere, the crowd was there for them, sang most of the songs, the sound was good. And the band delivered, very accurate, and you can tell they just started touring and they still have plenty of energy left 😄 I took a couple videos but my phone is dying unfortunately and the sound just didn't record...

Dayum sistah! You're going through the Jinjer songs quickly now! I dig it. You've been saying you're gonna do the whole catalog. That's a lot of songs. I'm here for it! My guess is you can't wait to listen to all the Jinjer until you can react, so you're just gonna react to all of em quickly. I like it! This is a good one. One of my favorites. She goes extra hard on the vibrato in that chorus. And the way she uses the growl on "for you, for you." So fkn good! Lol when I walk around the house singing that chorus at the top of my lungs, my gf always says "Seriously dude?" Hahahaha. That's when I go "FOR YOU, FOR YOU" right in her face lol. Sometimes it amuses me to fuck with non metal people when they get judgy lol. Great reaction as always. Keep up the good work!

One of my favorite Live performances by Jinjer (along along with "Pit of Conciousness"). I minored in English Literature and Rhetoric in college (Major Political Science) and although I love listtening to music I really know nothing about musical theory. I really think Tati's poetry would make an excellent course as an advanced English class, she's incredible. If the Grammy Awards were intellectually honest, Tati would win a Grammy for her songwriting.
@VocalCitizen2 ай бұрын
I would take that course. Twice. Being a writer myself, I voraciously consume song lyrics. I could learn a lot from Tatiana.

Is the quest to be 'On the Top' worth what you have to give up to get there? Very cool song, 1st track on the Macro album. Popular enough that they used it as the show closer on the "Live in Los Angeles" release, which came out a couple months ago. "Buy a b!*ch dinner" 🤣🤣

The concept is well-developed. I know better than to suggest Tati's lyrics shaped the music, but it almost feels like it.

Roman really shines in this one....there is some seriously twisted sound coming from his guitar the entire song. The instrumentation and vocals from when she rises up off of her knees to the seriously heavy djenty riff ("No surprise!") Is a particularly beautiful and savage example of the juxtaposition of Jinjer being able to live in both the light and the dark. The Live From Hellfest At Home (2021) version of this song is an even better lyrical performance by Tati, but it's always strange seeing no crowd due to covid. You are right about Tati's words/vocals. The distillate of a true poet.🤘

Tati is the consummate performer. That's a fact.
@ThePizzablogger2 ай бұрын
@@VocalCitizen indeed. She has "it", which is very rare.
@j.f.fisher53182 ай бұрын
A big part of why it hits so hard is because it's Tati's lived experience. They sacrificed so much and left so much behind. Add in that this was written before she met her husband so she was questioning if she'd sacrificed her chances to find love too. This performance was shortly after she and Alex started dating and she was on fire. He was a drummer for a deathcore band (now of P.O.D) and I feel like he helped her love her growls as much as he did instead of seemingly developing a bit of a love-hate relationship with that side of her skillset. Also it was a home crowd, after they had just returned in triumph from their first major headlining tour of the US (42 shows in 60 days...but they'dhad a few week break heh) that was mostly sold out, and were kicking off a similarly successful European tour. And they were performing in front of upgraded stage production for the first time which had to be incredibly thrilling. It makes the videos from this show a perfect storm of Jinjer awesomeness. :)
