This sounds a lot like a classical composition performed by a super tight metal band to me. It's really beautiful and unique imo.

@@notimportant3686 I think maybe you confuse best composed with favorite or best song. My comments are based on how " I" feel like that song flows and how it connects from one section to the next. It builds slowly and thoughtfully, nothing feels jarring or forced or out of place. Tati's vocals are controlled and make perfect sense with the song structure and theme. In comparison take "Astronomy"; if you truly are honest about it this songs does not need harsh vocals. She could use cleans through the whole thing and not loose the meaning or intensity. But in the end it is my opinion and doesn't mean anything. You have yours and it means just as much. Thanks.

The new album hit #5 worldwide on iTunes going up against pop albums. I love that the guitar riff changes constantly for the first half of the song. Tati has long had a love-hate relationship with her growls but since marrying the drummer of metalcore band Suicide Silence she seems to have really embraced that side of her technique, and I think she must have been singing to herself a lot during lockdown becauseher cleans are so good I'm starting to see some of her earlier singing as amateurish which is insane, frankly. If you haven't already binged their back catalog, you totally should unless you plan a bunch of Jinjer reactions in which case there are a few off Macro that are must-see (Home Back official, Judgements & Punishment one take, and Pit Of Consciousness live in Kiev). Otherwise enjoy their old stuff and move forward with the new stuff. The new album is 🔥FIRE🔥. Wallflower would be my suggestion for another new one. There are surely more releases coming and omg.

her earlier singing can DEFINITELY be grating, in fact, the best improvement she made is in her choices... there are some early tracks that i love that i simply can't listen to her... i've gone as far as to download these songs WITHOUT the vocals (such as roman's guitar play throughs) because her vocals actually cover up some incredible riffs... go listen to scissors or words of wisdom or captain clock without her vocals.... those songs are ABSOLUTELY STUPENDOUS from the guitar aspect

I love this track but it took me half a dozen listens before I got it. Some of the riffs are chained together with time signature changes to accommodate them, so there's an off-kilter cyclic pattern running through the middle of the track. It's a vortex made of riffage. Complex but rewarding and very impressive.

Jinjer fan base is definitely growing, its still criminal they aint way bigger, the only thing holding them back IMO is been signed to a independent label. Been the humble people Jinjer are they will no doubt stay loyal to Napalm which will deny them the huge success they deserve. There's 2 new MV to choose from Mediator and Wallflowers. Umm watch them as we did in order of release😉 (Vortex, Mediator, Wallflowers)
@BTAColorado3 жыл бұрын
I would argue that Napalm has some of the hottest bands in the non-pop genres and they are only becoming stronger as a label. Their band support seems pretty strong with these video productions and tours. The social media work they have done with the band has been a major boost, particularly this year. I don't see Napalm holding them back through contractual obligations. Just the opposite, they have given them a lot of freedom to grow however they saw fit as a band. I think their relationship will strengthen both. All the above is of course IMO.
@rofyle3 жыл бұрын
I think the bigger reason why they will never be as popular as bands like Slipknot and GnR is because they are not what used to be called "radio friendly." In other words they're not as commercially viable as someone like Slipknot, meaning they don't repeat the same four notes over and over until it gets stuck in your head even when you hate it, they don't follow the same song structure ad nauseam (verse-verse-chorus-verse), and they don't repeat the same record ten different times. The mass audience has been trained for decades to respond only to simple repetitions (ma-ma-ma-ma my pokerface). Bands like Jinjer are anything but repetitious. Even their earliest stuff sounds dissimilar. Cloud Factory is different than King of Everything which is different than Macro. With Korn, every album sounds the same.
@Dark__Thoughts3 жыл бұрын
@@rofyle Yeah. If a huge portion of people think metal sounds like noise, imagine how Jinjer would sound to them. Even I struggle a lot of times when I first listen to new songs of them, and then need several more times to listen to them to properly "hear" the song. Jinjer is just incredibly complex music and with that kind of an acquired taste. The radio and pop charts are all about easy to listen music.
@Aussie-3 жыл бұрын
@@BTAColorado agree with most what your saying, the thing Independent labels do lack is ability to market at level of other labels and (possible) lack connections in high places. I remember interviews with Eugene & Tatiana (post Napalm) saying they would be touring across countries in smallish not so mechanically sound buses. Limited budgets are thing when signed to small and independent labels which affects marketing. Macro should have been a massive success and elevated the band to next level..

@rofyle3 жыл бұрын
Not true. It's not that simple. I know channels that have received copyright strikes from Napalm. Studios and labels don't have the capability or personnel required to comb millions of uploads every hour searching for possible copyright issues, so they farm this process out to other companies. It's those other companies that issue the copyright complaints on behalf of the studios and labels. Sometimes these companies screw up. In addition there are also less than honest companies out there who issue false copyright complaints in an attempt to secure some of the ad revenue for themselves. Tom Macdonald recently encountered this issue. This is why everyone complains about KZbin's copyright process. It's a mess.
